You got any type of pre-market rates man? Oanda has been open for like 2 hours now or at least the price has been moving...I have 3701 ATM

edit: for reference, that xe.com site should be really close or dead on accurate. It's been following my oanda rates to a T

gaps have a 50/50 chance of getting closed no matter what. now add in normal retracements. trend resumtion ect. and the odds go up much higher. if the gap is on the side of trend odds are greatly increased. then you got something and i dont know what its called where the pair has memory.. meaning it likes to go where its been. im not a gap believer, shoot me. i think if you put any random number an equal distance between a given number as the gap they all get hit equally. like a coin flip. i hear about gaps. but so for every action there is a reaction. im not gonna take the time to study it but id bet my left nut. that it all is about equal. personally im not gonna hold a negative position waiting for a gap. i lose to much waiting and not trading. right or wrong .. i sure hope we got a gap at .89...

I feel like kicking myself for not taking the EUR sovereign debt more seriously and only trade at good short entry points. I was looking for long retracements on this pair. Unfortunately the retracements were much smaller than usually, a sure sign of a strong downward trend. Ended the week 170pips down.

It sure woke me up from my slumber. I reduced risk per trade and will be more cautious in the near future when adding longs on retracements.

How many of you were waiting for the retracement before adding shorts as well? The indicators showed oversold levels and the market just carried on dropping. Seems like traders are panicking and selling off EUR at all costs!

Do any of you think we will see 130.00 levels in the next week....or maybe 2?

price is currently between fridays POC 1/3690 with a high of 1.3714 since markets opened ... do not forget mt4 and most brokers are closed right now so you do not see data as I see on esingla and others will see on Oanda etc

above 1.3714 we nay see some form of up day today.

again it is early yet and I do not trade sundays till 5pm pst , in fact sometimes i just miss this session and trade in ff

Greece is struggling to persuade financial markets it can restrain the European Union’s largest budget shortfall without outside assistance, while borrowing costs are also rising for Portugal and Spain. Credit-default swaps on the debt of all three countries rose to record highs this week.
European finance ministers said they will help ensure Greece tackles its deficit and European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet said the bank is “confident” the country will cut its gap below the EU’s limit of 3 percent of gross domestic product in 2012 from 12.7 percent. U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner said European officials had committed to handle Greece “with great care.”
“The message was clearly that the European members of the Group of Seven have confirmed the substance and significance of the plan put together by Greece,” French Finance Minister Christine Lagarde said. “The European members of the G-7 will make sure it is managed.”

if so my sl has been hit. on some trades. but as said some quotes this time on sunday dont hold it with my brokers. some gaps turn out not to be any when broker turns on. maybe that gap others are showing will go down when everyone is included. they get the quotes from banks. so in may be a banks screwing with us on no volume.

if your broker is closed, I do not think that the trade goes thru if your SL is hit before they open, if you are OK when it opens the trade is open, at least that is the way mine handles it.

Thanks man. I posted earlier, I got stopped out on one @ 3690 too...oh well. Got 2 more goin strong.

I figured that w/o all the volume some weird stuff would happen but I was just curious if those that pay for "esignal and the like" get earlier access to real prices...

i've been shorting eurusd since 1.5. Had bout 10+ short orders open. 1.37 is a price lvl tt i was considering a small long order. However if this price zone is penetrated substantcially, i am anticipating a move to 1.31 or 1.32 which i may try a long. but before tt, i'll keep shorting this pair down.

if 1.3 is taken out. i have nothing to say. it's chaos by then

Cheers n gd day.

i think so also.. we could gap down at open because of triggered shorts. if my broker opens a second later then this i benifit. if not sl gets hit..
