What I meant is the area between those two, 3990 and 4000. I would ideally put a sell entry at 3995. It may go a little above. If it breaks 1.40 it could go further up.

I'm not sure Eu respects 4000, but it does respect 4050 - we'll see

[COMMODITIES] remain under pressure with [NYMEX] just ahead of the open at Usd 73.77/brl. This, as Venezuelan Pres Chavez sees oil settling into a Usd 70-80 band, while Iran has noted that oil will not slip below Usd 60 with seasonal factors rescuing in Q2. But with general chatter of fund/hedger commodity unwinding, oil is vulnerable to further downside with Usd 72.45 the key trendline support. [GOLD] is hovering around session lows at Usd 1082.25, although trade talk of physical/jeweller demand from China ahead of the Lunar New Year supports. Talk also of Indian & other SE Asian physical accounts on the bid with the premium on gold bars at its highest for over a year. However, spec funds still following Dollar gyrations, whilst investment demand lacking - SPDR ETF funds unchanged. [COPPER] has bent under further pressure to Usd 6825 low, eyeing talk of a Usd 6500 test. Weekly Shanghai stocks rose 4%.

....in case 1.3985 is not strong enough to resist even though it puts up a fight and unless gold drops. Upper trendline of the triangle have found some support with 23.6% fib.

38.2% (1.4017) fib would be probably best place to short as it is upper wall of declining channel.

well, im short aud/jpy, but all these pairs move same, so it's whatever. sometimes i play with a basket, and sometimes i focus on one, friday at the bell? i dont know

thats what i see too, its a trendline on my daily extended from the high in september 08 to the high in december 08. its exactly on yesterdays high and has another confirmation in august and september 09 as resistance to the upside.

new chart math says 3911 plus slippage.. comformation is level respect mostly at 3949..... some respect there says were on the right tract. 3949 could be considered a target.. yada yada.. this W is complete. we go lower a little normaly some when right leg complets.. its actually a bullish W higher low/highs.. but main trend is lower.. below 3949 should answer this riddle..

LONDON (Dow Jones)--The euro zone's annual inflation rate rose to an 11-month high of 1.0% in January from 0.9% the previous month, but remains well below the European Central Bank's target, preliminary data from the European Union's Eurostat agency showed Friday.

Although the reading is the highest since February last year, it undershot the 1.3% penciled in by economists surveyed by Dow Jones Newswires last week.
There was no detailed breakdown of the flash estimate, but economists have been expecting the annual inflation rate to rise due to comparisons with weak energy and food prices in early 2009. In December, the rate was pushed up by higher fuel and tobacco prices.
ECB President Jean-Claude Trichet has warned that inflation is likely to accelerate in the near term, but cost and wage developments are likely to be subdued.
The ECB, which aims to keep inflation just below 2% over the medium term, has forecast that inflation will remain below 2% throughout this year. The central bank has held its main interest rate steady at a record low of 1% since May last year and signaled that its planned withdrawal of stimulus measures would be gradual. Euro-zone consumer prices fell between June and October, the area's first brush with deflation since the euro was launched in 1999, even though the currency bloc has begun to emerge from a severe recession caused by the global credit crisis.
