Here's my chart...I hope I've anchored the Fib tool properly, (I think I have), but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong...

The fibonacci is not right

The one that you have drawn, shows the retracement from 101.xx to 85.xx

That wave retraced 50%, 85.xx to 93.xx >> Done.

Now the fibonacci that you need to apply is for the rise from 84.74 to 93.76

Its nice to know the overlaps, but the main one is 84.74 to 93.76 and its close to its 61.8 fibo at 88.20

Ahh I see...my Fib was outdated.

Just reapplied the Fib with the new numbers and I see we are at 50% right now. So yeah around 88.20 would be the right time to load up on longs.

I've been watching those videos by Wade Hansen at learningmarkets.com and he still shows the old retracement, (maybe he's looking at a weekly), so maybe it does hold a bit of value. Maybe we'll see a little bit of a reaction at 88.76 or so, but I now see that 88.20 is where the money's at.

not true, your fib is not out dated, that is the overall fib retracement and the strongest point is the 61% and that line is stronger than any other of the more current fib levels.
that 61% level might not come into play for a long time but overall that is the strongest fib level you will find on that chart, you did good, would be good too though to have some newer fib levels as well even though they may not be as strong they may be more relavant

guys sorry to ask but i was really newbie in here, what fo you guys mean by 61% fib? or 50%pips? i want to learn to use technical from you guys, so please share with me.

wow a lot of fibs around here

i use it but dont actively trade off of it, thought fib was just drawing a line to another point, mine doesnt let me change that

selling the usd jpy

coz ive seen usd week overall the other currencies daily and 4 hourly

plus there new today

do you think its a strong shout for a sell on usd jpy ?


think its a fair bet what do you guys think

hi the fib retracment is basically as it says

say the price is going down, it usually goes up a bit to the fib lines

30 50 70 100


usually

if it hit 70 it usually means the trend is reversed and is going up

if i hits 30 and has good resistance then the tend might continue to go down

might be a good place to put a sell bet in one you obversed it and studied it enough

think its based on a mathematic thing invent by leonardo divinici

Looks like this pair is cosolidating around this level.

I scalping them slowly but surely...

haha...my wife thinks I am crazy to do this style of tdg...so far so good.

1 out of 3 for me today...took some shorts below 25, thought it would hit 89...just started to range on me...oh well tomorrow is another day

How are you trying to play the range? 25-52 area? looks to me like going long off 25 may not be a bad idea

I just started using volume a couple months ago...also started using wide range body analysis...I would say the best thing to do is find master the markets by tom williams (google)
