...I am not saying they are fudging numbers but they should correlate all the data and not hand pick the data. That is really what it boils down too. Take for example the housing data which is supplied from the National Association of Realtors, the data they use is specific to one location of the US and not the whole entire country, and when that area sees a decline then they paint a picture that is it is nation wide, and really that is not the case at all.

So really they are not using all the data they hand pick data and they have always...

I was wondering if there was a selection process for data inclusion as there must be a number of short sales going on that would lower the sales price figure.

I had my eye on the USD and EUR/CAD pairs before the news came out. The EUR/CAD appeared to make a BPC but the C part came about a half hour before the US open. I passed on it because I don't like to enter a trade then.

Anyways, the AUD/NZD(long; 1hr/15mins), NZD/CAD(short; H4/1hr ), and the CADJPY(short; 1hr/15mins) are setting up. The AUD has bank holiday today too, that is another thing to consider. HECTOR recommend against trading a currency with BANK HOLIDAY.

I was looking at the C/J pair and that had a nice BPC but there was no momentum and an RN not far away, and also the E/U pair had a very similar setup but again no momentum so I passed up on both of them as well. There is a lot of indecision on those pairs right now even though the C/J pair seems to want to head downwards, its just not convincing enough for me to take either one of those right now.

QUESTION FOR THE GROUP:

Do you trade a nice setup even though one of the currency in the pair/crosses is having a BANK HOLIDAY?

I have been avoiding them...today being a good example, i avoided the AUD/NZD hr/15mins bullish breakout trade.

Just checking in on the USDJPY weekly/daily short trade initiated at 90.40. Market close now at 89.846. The 90.00 area was resilient. We will see how it goes next week. How it handles the 89.50 and 89.00. My second 1/3rd target is 88.60 for +180pips. Long way to go down. The 3rd 1/3rd price target is 86.60, which is a galaxy away from here at +380pips. (i seriously doubt it will go that far).

I am liquidating my position in USDJPY. The bad existing home sales data from the USD couldnt even take out the 90.00 area. It bounces off it like a football.
The BOJ news announcement is coming tomorrow. Whatever. I know the JAPANESE doesnt want their YEN appreciating against the DOLLAR. Most likely they will talk down the YEN...which doesnt assist my long YEN, short USD trade. Besides, too many attempts at the 90.00 area has failed.

Liquidating the remaining 2/3rd at 90.25. for +15pips. that makes 15 +15 +50 = 80 / 3 = + 26 pips gain.

Hello Entropy Lad,
I can recall you had a recent conversation with other experienced members of this thread when you used the above term. By "slanted," do you mean that the trendline ceased and a new one was formed in the opposite direction immediately, rather than thetrendline collapsing into a range or "sideways" collection of bars?

I saw that too...with EUR/CAD. 1HR/15MINS. The 1,2,3 formation completed around 9:30am london time. Which would have made it a 1,2,3 formation combined with a late LOB trade. Weird that i missed it. Because i remember thinking to myself that eur/cad HAD ONLY 3 elements at the area of confluence of S/R : fib level, RN, and 30sma(I like to have at least FOUR before i enter a trade, unless of course, it is an LOB trade.)

Anyways, i dont see this as a breakout that happened around US open time.

Hi NightMoves and Co,

I now have the dashboard functional and am happy that I identified the right pairs yesterday, although I did not trade any of them.

Question: does it often happen that the dashboard does not show trending pairs/TF's while on chart you can clearly see the start of the trend?

How do you deal with these, does the dashboard get priority or chart visual in selecting possible charts to trade? Then still to be followed by analysis for trade of course.
