Hi maq, you didn't see my previous post ?

but i think i will run the same test excluding days one by one, cause for example, wenesday is the worst.

Scull used to use a maximum SL of 60 and I believe now leaves it up to trader's discretion where to put the SL (see post #2073 in this thread) (think he uses 40 as his max SL)
I am paper trading just now and tend towards using the range as the SL
Thus today, was a win, using either the range or a 60 pip SL, but only just (missed the SL by a pip or two and hit the 30 pip TP by a pip or two)
Not the greatest R:R but still a winner

Oh I closed with a trailing stop, so +2 pips for me today. Better luck next time

Could someone please help with the installation of the EA Breakout Trend_TP3. I have it in Expert advisors, it attaches to the chart and I get the smiley face, but I cannot get it to back test. Do I have to do anything with the load and save buttons on the inputs window? I am happy to leave all other input fields at the default until I can get it to backtest and then I will do some variations, but at the moment it will not do anything.
Help appreciated.

go to you tube and put in MT4 backtesting and watch a vid... far easier than anyone explaining in type text....

My setting today are as follows:

Range - 05:00 - 07:15
High - 1.6295
Low - 1.6249

Hence I will LONG 4 lots at 1.6298 (inc spread) or SHORT 4 lots at 1.6248
If long is triggered then I will take 2 lots off at 1.6358 (+60) and move stop to break even. I will then take the other 2 lots off at 1.6418 (+120). I will do the reverse is sell is triggered. If my TP is not hit, I close the trade on close of 23:00 candle.

i know, 15sl tp75 and no BE ? with this setup i got a winner on the 13th and today & 4 loosers

yep...

1st winner....phew..lol

for the newer guys here this is where RR and good money management are essential...

Despite having only 1 win with 5 losses and 3 BE's i am still BE for the month..
