well we were all expecting that rate to be .25% on the cad... I also expect the aussie will rate rates on their announcement because they are seeing inflation... there is a long term psychological movement coming from this lower zone tud... hope u got a good firm stop in place. anysort of resistance I see will probably just get chopped through...

little more shallow then i thought ... means more upward power probably.

Did anyone notice the wedge down formation that has been forming on this pair over the last few months? It looks like the wedge/double bottom has been broken on the long side and could possible break out much longer. Check out the picture.

Anyone get a big 85 pip spike on 1 min or lower charts on this pair at approx 6:05 EST (11:05 GMT)?

i had a 30-pip spike the same time at usd/cad, but at another provider.

yup....i got filled too at at 1.0108....spike was up to 1.0119
it had seemed so obvious at the time

Yep, I got stopped out of a profitable 10k short on FXCM.

Movement was about 90 pips and back over 2 minutes.

Called FXCM and was told that all CAD pairs had spiked in all markets, not just their own. Have so far confirmed this looking at a couple of other sources.

Anyone know what happened?

I made a profit but it should have been more. Glad I hadn't just entered . . . .
