3-4 days later....same analysis stands. The only difference now is on the 4hour chart I see a pretty convincing bear flag. As such, adapting to the situation is required. In other words, I went short at 1.4395 with half a position size, but my regular 50pip stop loss. If I get stopped out, I gain a much better entry point for my regular position size, that's if I still favor a short. If we go directly down from here, I would make profit still. Win/win scenario I would say. The only unknown variable is the outcome to the ZEW data...that's the only significant news until the US session. Let's see now...

Side note- my 4h candlesticks may look different from yours, depends on the platform you use. (open and close time varies depending on time zone each broker uses)

Morning all.
Bullish nature still preserved but 3 drives may cause a break at 1.4410/13 next time to 1.4377/66 level again .but will not be surprised if my targets 1.4424-42 if reach.so successfull break at 1.4415 is important now.

Looks like we've bounced off of 1.4410 range and if we can clear this consolidation zone for the past two days, I can see this continuing it's downward momentum.

The 5 minute chart is simply not actionable for me at the moment.

As a rule of nature it will go up if you sell and down if you buy .......... don't believe me, try it out yourself.......... you won't be disappointed.

It won't work on demo. The basic idea is: PA moves in either direction but most of us focus only on the negatiive side of the move.

same targets for any shorts will be taken here or above , already placed some pending over 1.4424-42 last night before computer close.

Market Sentiment on the 4h TF has now shifted to the bears and is in sync with the Daily TF Market Sentiment, which remains Bearish. Will be looking for possible short entries @ possible resistance @ 1.4455 area. Here is 4h TF and Daily TF Charts.

Before the insane moves that began in 2008 this kind of market (even non-holiday)..days like today were pretty common. A return to such days will eventually happen. That's why I favor the Eur/Jpy pair when not trading the Eur/Usd. It pretty much does the same thing as Eur/Usd except at a much faster pace and with a higher range from high to low. There are also little tricks to give a clearer picture. For example, if the timeframe you usually watch is not good enough, switch to a different timeframe like the 15min chart or higher. Not only that, but candlesticks alone is not enough at times either. A line chart may help see things more clearly. Here's a chart of the current situation showing a line chart on the 15min timeframe...

Hey Hog! How's the "mental training" going? Mine is better but can always improve.

The VIX is below 20 nowadays and it is showing in FX land. I think we are due for some wild curves soon. I am in the camp that is forecasting an increase in volatility again.

For Euro it is reasonable to expect 100 pips +/- 20 daily at a minimum.
