Yeah i use FXCM. I have a spread betting account with them thats what i trade live with so i was still able to trade. I use FXCM MT4 on demo for charts. I have only been using there MT4 for about 2 months and thats the first time its happened.

I did have a demo account with Alpari and there demo server kept going down until i opened a live account with them and the server never went down. So i would say that FXCM live wouldnt have any server down time.

I used to work for Ladbrokes on there IT support and worked on there servers and i know that they could only have 2 minutes of down time a year cos it would cost them a loss of about 3 million. So companies like FXCM wouldnt allow there live servers to go down due to loss of money. So i would bet my trading balance (£1.29 ) that if you opened a live account you wouldnt get any down time.

No.
Currently missed TP1 by 5 pips but still live at +7 pips and set to BE.
At worst a free trade :-)

All my pivot indicators look crazy ...
TAH , any idea what can be the problem ?

David,

They are having the same problem on the THV thread. From what I have read, it appears that the bank holiday on Friday is messing with the indicator. I did see where TAH and Caveman were working on an update.

I'm not able to see this one through but I've been monitoring a possible EU Short. EU made a Double Top which has previously seen100+ pip falls.

In general, you do not want to start a new trade between the NY close and the Tokyo open. Sometimes you'll do ok, but most times you will regret it.
Best thing to do right now is see your family and wait until Tokyo.

thats what I intend to do, except I'll be in bed for the Tokyo Open and left it for other Sonikers to mull over.

I have been watching this but as DD has said its best not trade when NY closes and Tokyo opens. I think the biggest thing i learnt in 2009 was don't trade everything you see. On my charts i have a message in the top left corner ( Only trade 1-2 trades a day). I made 2 trades today EUR/USD and GBP/USD. Started the year off with a nice profit and want to keep it that way.I am sure there will be more trades tomorrow but good luck may the sonic be with you

Price did a head fake up but then continued sideways and finally broke south. Tp1 reached, price pulled back to Ep, then back down to Tp1. It looks to be heading for Tp2 now.

David, CaveMan has been working on this. The time thru X-Mas and New Year is the time that has challanged the indy in the past. But CaveMan has been working on it thru this period and it looks good to go for update release with all problems solved. A few other changes have been made for the update release, also. CaveMan may have "nailed it" this time, so that this kind of problem will now be a thing of the past. He has reported the in-work version which was further tweaked after X-Mas, has transitioned thru the New Year to this time with no problems. I am awaiting final comments from him. A new release should be within a weeks time.
