EU is still ranging ... she could pop to 1.4660 even and it would only be a 61.8% fib reatrce of down move.

It is NFP week ....and they are always ranging weeks , or market moves opposite direction of what the news will do to the market. ( kind of mark up.)

gu has been really interesting , with a doublt otp 1.6220 on 4 hour

EU we have had highest volume on 60 min in days on last attempt to break 1.4440 , but so far that has only knocked the market sideways . often these ultra high volume candles close to resistance are hidden sellers.

hit and run trading with targets of 40 pips and tight stops 20 pip seem to work well . If swing trading do not forget the daily and weekly are still down , although last 2 weeks have been in this sideways range ,, which could be some form of basing but it seems the sellers are still there at 1.4450

sleep is for the weak ! lol

I am am trading 5 am to 8 am pst ( us / euro overlap) trying to capture some of the range in this time while markets remain in range

For now I do not like fact that 1.4400 is holding and also do not like the fact that the highest volume we saw in last 4 trading session was on a test of 1.4440. In fact if i were a buyer i would wait for test 1.4360 and then buy , not my style to buy break outs.

Just took profit on my long and shorted at 1.444
lets see how the roller coaster goes now that there is momentum.

right now is dead time , tokyo opens in 45 min , maybe eu breraks out and maybe it does not

I am a day trader and part of managing risk is knowing when to trade and when not to trade.

I would suggest at least waiting till tokyo gets going to see what trend for Asia may be.

sorry my mistake .. forgot that clock change here on west coast did not effect Nikkei .... it opens 4pm pst.

I have not traded asian session for a while since stopping trading GJ in Summer. GU and EU have strong component USD and they both move best in london or us session
