From my cycles we should see a new low in EURUSD on Friday this week.

As far as Elliott wave analysis goes the EUR/USD is in a correction. The wave 5 is high is complete and it's going down ideally to go lower than 1.3748. The 10 day exponential moving average (EMA) is below the 20 day EMA which is respectively less than the 50 day EMA showing that the trend is bearish. The 50 day exponential moving average is above the 200 day EMA only because this is a correction. The DT oscillator is reaching overbought in my daily chart again signifying that the uptrend is limited. I would recommend going short when price hits the 10 day EMA.

my prediction for next 20 years unless things don't get much better all currencies are going down against gold.

Good prediction ! next 20 years!!who know then they will be of any value !people will like wear ornaments of wood or earth.Gold may not circulate in the market .

But the prediction is very likely, devaluation of paper currencies & revaluation any physical things on the earth.

I eu gapped down to 1.4302 & filling it swiftly.

It's the very definition of allowing "belief" to dictate one's trades. IMHO it's all on the chart. EU has been going down on the 4H. It's now on the daily and the weekly. I'll be looking for resumption of downward momentum....but I trade according to what price is doing, has been doing....not according to what I "believe" (like it seems many do here).

Looks like you might get your wish I reckon malcomb. My EURUSD is signalling a buy, but into Fridays pinbar I don't think so! DAX March futs also indicated a proper sell rollover late last week but I missed it and we are already below 6000 again.

I am still waiting for Jan 15-18 to resume trading, but monitoring markets closely now.

I did not really trade much over xmas ... but did trade last couple of days of last week as market were warming up and when I saw that 400 pip up move on Gu on no volume you could not miss selling into that.

Don't know if anyone keeps a eye on options for euro but there is massive volume interest and open interest in this to close between 1.400 - 1.4100 by jan expiration.

There is also hugr open interest for Euro put options for march for price to be near 1.3000.

Thought I share, don't know if relevant.

Well, the holidays are over...time to start trading again. When last we left, I got stopped out on the down side. Now what to do? I am a swing trader, and I do not see anything on the daily charts that causes me to place a trade at this time. Above 4460 would indicate possible uptrend resumption. If that happened I would wait for a pullback to see if the swing low would hold. Below 4215 would signal continued downside. In that case, I would wait for a pullback to get short, and see if we could get some kind of downward channel going. No trades for now... from a swing trade perspective we are in limbo. I'm presently scanning other pairs for a solid daily channel to trade. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Happy New Year and good trades to all!!!

i was short since the beginning of the move...

btw,jokes aside,someone know why 1.43046 is so important as a support?
i cant find any indicator.
