Errrr are you sure you've got your definitions right? Maybe that is what they say it takes advantage of but let's face it we are talking about 2 or 3 algobots trading blocks back and forth over and over to make pennies from the retail trader under the guise of "providing liquidity".

i could pull up a few state of the union addresses when "home ownership is at an all time high" was bragged about.. but i wont because as we all know when that happend the fundementals of the economy were strong then.

if just a 4 hr chart trade your 1,4304 entry with nice stop loss is a very low risk entry due to the channel we are currently in. 1.4300 to 1.4400.

also we saw a nice high vol pin on that support level and end of session Friday , that could well support the long play to test top of channel 1.4440 , however we have to wait for Monday to see reaction to that.

still not sure where you get the uptrend from though ....as of dec 30 the the trend on the daily changed , if we break 1.4300 on a daily close then 1.4000 is the target.

Next Week’s Euro Dollar Outlook

If you take a look at a 30 minute interval for this up-coming week and draw out my support and resistance with a horizontal line tool we can see the pattern and the potential moves for next week.

First you need my numbers. They are as follows, from top to bottom:

Draw these zones on your chart:

1. 1.4445
2. 1.4400
3. 1.4355
4. 1.4305

Current range is between 1.4355 and 1.4305.

Helpful:

10 Simple Moving on Close.
20 Simple Moving on Close.
50 Simple Moving on Close.

Now. If we look back to December 22. We can see the initial buying power near the end of the descending wedge.

See how the wedge ends and the 10 SMA crosses upwards and we squeeze up to 1.4305 and then break out and meet resistance at 1.4355?

I want you to analyze the beginning of that move to where we are now and take specific mental notes on how price reacts around my zones.

My Outlook:

In short: I suspect a bounce off the 1.4305.

Long:

I see potential buying power near the 1.4305 if price meets that level come next week trading. As we have had two previous bounces. My initial take profit will be 1.4355. But price if it rises, could go as high as 1.4370.

Stochastics are over-sold and rising.

Now price may move sideways for awhile before moving either towards 1.4305 or 1.4355 but I suspect a short term move down and a correction before the buying power enters in because of the dynamic resistance of the 10 SMAC.

See the previous pattern on December 29? There is a down move from 1.4445 to 1.4305. The same move is happening right now! The same pattern! Look!

This is a game of chess, and you have to be able to see the moves before they happen. I hope these lines might help your price analysis for next week.

I’m not saying price will hit support at 1.4305 and buying power will come in.

It could go right through that floor all the way down to 1.4255.

I am saying the likely hood from my analysis is that I would look to buy at 1.4305 or near to if the price action looks good next week.

Now. If we look back to December...
This week, the euro zone and United Kingdom lacked important fundamentals amid holidays at the end of a hectic year, where it witnessed turbulences and ups and downs.



Inflation data and housing data are the only data going to be released this week in the 16-nation economy, U.K. CPI preliminary reading for December in Germany and M3 for November in the euro zone are due this week along with Nationwide house prices for December in the U.K.



In the euro zone, the economy is awaiting recovery in 2010 after emerging from recession in the third quarter of the year after 2.5% and 0.2% contractions signaled in the first and second quarters. However, for the economy to officially leave recession it has to expand in the fourth quarter.



Expectations are referring to a further expansion in the euro area in the last quarter and next year, after the monetary and fiscal measures adopted by the ECB and national governments to combat the worst recession since WWII.



The ECB slashed the benchmark interest rate to a historical low of 1%, and injected markets with 60 billion euros through purchasing euro-denominated bonds, as well as lending banks as much money as they want at the current key rate.



In response, the economy showed signs of recovery and strong data, especially in the third quarter. The ECB said November that the European economy will grow 1 percent in 2010 higher than the previous projections of 0.3%, while this year the economy may contract 3.9% instead of 4.5% contraction expected in August.



Nevertheless, the economy is expected to face hurdles in its recovery journey since inflation is still below the lower boundary set by the ECB, unemployment is rising, and budget deficit is swelling. Thus, Trichet and his team may change their monetary measures in the coming period to shore up the economy.



In the U.K., the economic situation is perhaps worse than the euro zone, as the economy is still mired in recession, as indicated by GDP for the third quarter which showed 0.3% contraction.



But it can not be denied that the economy also remarkably improved starting from the second quarter, as a response to the efforts done by the BoE to stall the economic deterioration.



The BoE cut the cost of borrowing to 0.5% and embarked on quantitative easing methods by buying bonds worth 200 billion pounds to provide markets with liquidity.



The latest forecasts for the Confederation of British Industry refer that growth in 2010 will be 1.2% and 2.5% in 2011. Hence, expectations are in favor sluggish recovery in 2010. Still, unemployment is high and budget deficit is widening, but inflation jumped in November to 1.9%, near the 2% target set by the bank.



The interest rate and the quantity of APF may remain unchanged also in January, before a possible change that might take place in February after the release of the new quarterly growth and inflation estimates.

we are on a bull trend. A little one but is bull, from 1.4290 to 1.45. Right now we have more chances of going to 1.45 than going down to 1.42. Actually is about chances....what would you win to go short from 1.4340 to 1.4310. It better to wait if it goes down there to go long, or go long right now until at least 1.4440.
