I been sitting out of EU or the last week or so. Going to wait for next year on this pair, although shorting for next year is looking better and better every day.

your wave counts maybe off
from 0.8 to 1.6000 we had a very clear 5 wave structure
the interesting thing , and only time will tell if this plays out. Is we have the mother of wave 1 and 2 formations and we are just starting wave 3 with min target 1.2300 , but more liekly 161.8 fe at 0.928
wave 1 and 2 are massive ....I hate to say where wave 5 could end , but someone did mention the death of the euro , or close enough at 0.5
This is my New Years present to you all ....

Looking at the longer term charts, I am beginning to feel sort of bullish about EURUSD.
To me this could be the beginning of a big wave 5 up on the monthly? A healthy retracement was to be expected, you can't go up in a straight line forever, and certain indicators seem to agree the '08 crash was all just one big retest of 1.265.
In the shorter term, without a weekly close above 14485 I remain neutral-bearish with an eye to target 14183.
Daily closes above 14337 put us on a retracement roadmap towards 14680.

One more that really left me gasping in the gutter a couple of days ago, was Geithner announcing the "New Fed solution" to stave off inflation. The are going to bleed off the "excess liquidity" (Not that I've seen any), by allowing the banks to place CD's with the fed???
So essentially what happens, is that the government loaned/gave money to the banks at zero interest to stimulate the economy. The banks don't feel inclined to lend this money to Joe Public at 3-4%, so instead, they will lend it back to the Fed. This is going to solve the liquidity problem??? But without a doubt, it does keep down domestic inflation. When the only way to buy groceries is with a 20% interest credit card, they may as well credit themselves with curing the obesity epidemic as well...

As for 14% inflation, if you think it's too high, you seen nothing yet..
It's all coming our way, as printing press working harder and harder everyday
to satisfy US Congress spending mania.. Actually FEDs are more scared of
deflation, rather than Inflation,...

There aren't even any bands, never mind bundles. The presses are probably cold to the touch. The result is the same however. 18 months and counting to 20% interest rates, in a shitty economy. And we tighten the screw another turn... I'm getting to old to worry about this crap any more, but for the past 40 years I've watched it, nearly year by year, the people get poorer. And the leaches get fatter. The temporary low interest rates are just a cheap way of keeping the houses occupied and maintained...
I'm not religious, but I always thought that the Ten Commandments and all that stuff was just based on natural laws...eg. that morality made sense and allowed civilization to function. If I was right about that, we cannot be very far from a total collapse.
In the meanwhile and back on topic, I really don't see the Euro down much more than this. I see signs that E/G will rebound out of today's action, and we will probably see parity before long.

yes and it keeps usd out of general circulation..the best of both worlds ... it tightens liquidity but allows low interest on home ownership. with the right paperwork. a rate hike without a rate hike. money tightens but rate remains for a little while. but bond rates are inching up. so any possitive employment news in u.s. benifits usd. employment has to go up in u.s. to create euro demand a couple of years down the road. banks arent lending, so liquidity tightens. on the other hand less demand from qualified borowers... the strings are being pulled...
