Just trying to find the cause why the price failed up to a min at the end as an abandoned baby candlestic in h1 & sell of ,bearish gravestone doji in H4 & at the same time price bounce from top of the channel h4.
not using them but read about candlestics pattern again now.Merry christmas to all , good night .

EUR-USD has bounced up from its lows of the week. With stocastics on the daily chart on extreem oversold area we saw the pair move higher. My 1.4411 resistance number was broken by a few pips with 1.4418 high of the day. But with the volume low and most of the traders out for Christmas the market was not able to sustain a rally.

1.4411 still remains a major resistance IMO. If we can close above this number we could be looking for more bulls to enter the market. Barring that we are still in a down trend and can see the EUR-USD pair slide lower.

The FOREX is closed with many brokers now at 14:00 EST. Will re-open on Sunday at 16:00 EST. Since next week is also a short week with New Years falling on Friday, we can expect a continuation of lower volume.

I'm sorry, which TF are you talking about head & shoulders. Am I missing something?

[BALTIC FREIGHT INDEX] on shipping rates for bulk commodities like iron ore is watched as a rough, indirect gauge for global industrial demand/activity. While US stocks continue to climb on recovery optimism, the Baltic Dry index has declined over 30% since it hit a new high for the year 6 weeks ago. Some read that as a cautionary signal of a more uneven, gradual recovery for the global economy. But in contrast, copper prices - a key industrial metal - have firmed to new 2009 highs, trading at odds to the Baltic index. Some shipping watchers point out that the weaker Baltic index of late reflects partly large over-supply of existing vessels along with still big back-order that impact the shipping rates.

FRANCE] The number of unemployed job-seekers rose by 3,100 in November, marking the smallest monthly increase this year, the Labor & Finance Ministry reported. However, the total number of job-seekers is now at 2.63 mln or the most since August 2005.

[US STOCK CLOSE] Markets closed early, with bulls rushing to buy stocks before Christmas/holiday break. Nasdaq led the way, up 0.7% to new 2009 high. Dow, S&P 500 trailed behind at +0.5%. A big drop in jobless claims helped recovery optimism, while capex-related capital goods orders rose. That led one major bank to up Q4 GDP f/cast above 5%. Mkt internals showed up-stocks over losers but in muted pre-holiday volume. Seasonals remain favorable in Dec, with bulls betting on end-year Santa rally. Tech and energy stocks did best, former as global recovery play, latter on oil above $77. More modest gains seen in consumer, industrial and financials. Healthcare stocks bucked the rally, slipping on Senate passage of their reform bill. Gains in telecom and utilities muted with Tsy yields up on supply concerns and talk payrolls may turn up sooner than later, with 4-wk claims down at faster pace than in 1991 & 2002 slow recoveries.

[GBP/USD] battered down to fresh NY session low near $1.5935 in thin, holiday-bound trade. Next support seen at 1.5923 or Dec 22-23 lows. Some smallish sell-stops below could be at risk. Latest US data underpins better US recovery prospects vs UK - a leading US bank upped its Q4 GDP f/cast to 5% while another bank sees the further drop in weekly jobless claims as improving odds that nonfarm payrolls could increase in Dec - albeit modestly so and not not enough to bring down the jobless rate.

[ECRI US LEAD INDEX] Its weekly leading US economic index dipped from 130.7 to 130.4 for week ended Dec 18th. That left the smoothed 4-wk mov avg annualized growth rate at 24.4% vs 24.7% last time. The growth rate hit 28.10% in Oct. The current level is still with a decent recovery pace, ECRI says. The growth index hit a record low of -29.7% in Dec last year and has been strongly in positive territory since July. The ECRI index echoes recent OECD composite global LEI which continues to flash strong recoveries for major economies as US & China. It has risen more now than it did in last 2 slow recoveries. Conference Bd's LEI for US is up 8 mths in a row, with Y/Y growth up 6% - faster than in 2002 recovery. Note weekly jobless claims are inputs to ECRI and LEI. The 4-wk claims avg is down 194K from its peak - faster decline than in slow recoveries of 1991 and 2002. Some f/cast small rise in payrolls as soon as Dec data.


[ON TARP REPAYMENTS] The Tsy reports that $164 bln in TARP funds have been repaid thru this month, this includes recent $45 bln from Wells Fargo and Citi together. Note on latter, the Tsy/Fed/FDIC "guarantee" agreement to share losses on $300 bln pool of Citi assets was terminated. Tsy still holds $5.2 bln of Citi trust preferred shares. Meanwhile, Tsy estimates total bank TARP repayments will exceed $175 bln by end-2010 and it says all TARP programs (incl dividends, warrants sales) have turned a profit of over $16 bln. Tsy acknowledged 55 financial firms missed their TARP dividend payments, up from 33 in last Tsy report. Tsy spokesperson noted though payments can be made up by the next payment date.

.92 does seem fairly critical, and first daily bullish candle in 7 days.
It's had a triple top around .9850 - in years 2005, 2008 and 2009
Sellers around .9550 or .9850
