What settings are used for the dragon ?

The current one I have is set to 50 - but I also see some people using the 34 settings.

So which one is the current settings.

hansma, there is no subdivision of people using diff settings.
All Sonikers use SonicR Classic Dragon (34 EMA - high, low and close).

Question: If I remove my Microsoft Office 2002 and download/install Open Office, will there be any problems accessing all past files created by Office 2002?

Here is the first of those four screenshots. Notice that point "B" is quite a distance from the Dragon. As ddaytrader has mentioned in the past, we want the previous low (or high if going long) that the price must pass, to be close to the Dragon; certainly not more than 20 pips out. Notice in the pic that price appears to be pulling up. In this situation it could happen that the price pulls up into the Dragon and after the price finishes pulling up, it could reverse and move back down and out of the Dragon. In which case, the new price representing the Ep short area is that low just before the pull up into the Dragon. It is much closer than "B", and it is what we look for.

As for what FE levels to use for targets, it will depend on if the apparant pull up continues into the Dragon and eventually makes a high that is higher than "C". If so, then the FE will need to be adjusted. In any case, typically the 100, 162 and 262 levels are prime targets. And sometimes even the 424 level comes into play on a really strong run. But always keep in mind ATR. If some levels are say 250+ pips away from the high of the day, and ATR is say 180 pips, you may want to concentrate on keeping Tp1 and Tp2 to those levels that are within the ATR. If you sense it could be a strong run, or as it moves it shows like it might be a strong run, then maybe you adjust Tp3 farther out than the current day ATR, gambling on the run continuing down during the next session. Even the 62 level can be a worthy target. If it is enough pips out to make the trade worth while (20, 30, etc.) and it is an "off" time in the session (low volume, not prime time trading = too early in the day, or too late), or you are just not real sure of things, it can be a sensible target.

Edit: All the above was written before examining charts as of the end of the week's session. The second chart is what I show as how things ended the week. Notice that the pull up took the price up to/into/and thru the Dragon. Good so far as what is needed to reset Ep short higher: now the previous low to beat becomes around 1.4298 (or the whole number 1.4300 area) and not "B", which is way down at 1.4261. Since a new high was struck, FE draw is adjusted per current chart status (note: new week first session could result in price inching even higher before a run back down). As it is, if price were to now proceed down, Ep would be around 1.4295, Tp1 at 100 (1.4249) and tp2 at 162 (1.4189). This results in about 100 pips total gain to Tp2. The 262 level is around 250 below current high and ATR is only around 150, so it is too far away as things stand right now.

Eveything could change somewhat when new week opens. But as it stands right now, I'd forget having a Tp3 and just keep up with what happens nearer term. As for SL, if price were to be moving south immediately from here, then it would be as shown. On the other hand, if new week starts with a pump up, it would need to be moved higher.

Edit: Added third pic (H1 chart) showing TL (purple) break and move back up to retest. Notice the the high trading on the move down and thru the TL break. Notice the subsequent relatively light trading as the price was moved back up to retest the TL (this can be seen clearly on the M15 chart also). Notice the that along with the overall price action moving down across the chart, so are the Dragon, the 89 ema, and the succession of Daily main pivots. Notice that the CCI has been making cycles up and down across the chart, but remains in negative territory the whole time. All this does not preclude a masterful pump in the price by the big players. But aside from that happening, the trend remains down. But we always have to consider when the "bottom" of our current trading trend may come. This requires close watch and caution/conservatism in short trades now, in my opinion. For all we know, price may indeed move down again, but only to the previous low area.....a double bottom......then the start of a trend up. We trade what we see, however, not what we think could happen. Just set Tps with conservatism.

You could remove MS Office but why not leave it on and install OpenOffice first?
OpenOffice will open and save in .doc (MS Word) file format but I have found on occasions some formatting differences - nothing that would cause an issue in this situation but in the commercial world can be a tad annoying with complex documents.

If you want, send me a doc I'll open it in OOO and save it as a pdf.
I've attached a pdf and save as .doc in this post - both created in OOO via a copy and paste from this thread.

EU M15: New session has price candle extending below Dragon followed by price back up inside Dragon. The bottom of that last candle extending below the Dragon marks Ep South area. This is Asian session, not recommended for trading. If you do, recommend SL be placed high because Frankfurt Open and/or London Open could bring on a pump before a dive. You just never know. And if you do trade the Asian session, I suggest you follow ddaytrader's sound lead.....go for 20+/-pips and get out and wait then for FO/LO price action.
