If we could push above 4425, that would take a lot of pressure off the downside... and maybe trigger the long overdue retrace. But that is a big "IF"! Well see what Philly index brings. Empire State was real bad yesterday.

So far dow is dropping and so is Euro. Dow was no help.

That's what "they" have to choose from: either Strong Dollar

Or Green Market.

Basically this Dollar move screwed up everything. It's more bad than good.

And I miss this party!

I won last weeks, many of you won this week with shorts! No problem.

I lost almost 600/4 pips in this drop but positive this week and with a 1/2 1.4339 long.

Need to check hourlys to find new entry to short.. I think the powers to be may be targeting 1.4 by year end.. Technically, we are still in a daily uptrend until is broken at 1.375ish.. coincidence 38.2 is in that area too.. I can't imagine it will move that fast though..

This is my point. The why doesn't really matter, does it? The fact is that the market is selling off....and it will continue to do so until it doesn't. And, I don't mean this as an attack on those that believe in fundies. Learn to exploit what the market is doing. Learn to recognize when the market is likely to change direction, when the current move is invalidated or weakening. Trade what is happening, rather than what you think should be happening.

480k jobless claims is not positive news.. Not to mention, the birth-death model used by government has been admitted to being off by >800k. Meaning; they need to subtract 800k job from report over the next couple quarters (or more)..

I'm not a gloom and doom person.. I'm a realist.. actually, I see the collapse of this parasitic system of money and finances that removes 30% of wealth right off the top of real labor from production a good thing.. A positive thing.

Looks like we are gonna get a test of 1.4330. Dow is down 84pts since open and Eur, Aus, and GBP are starting to lose upward momentum.

... I mean all of you, reading your posts as I have for the last week has been very insightfull, and ATM I'm making ~170 pips, the most I've ever made since I started my demo account like 15 days ago.

With all your help I'll keep fine tuning my trading skills and most surely will finally join you with real trades on 2010.

Excellent comment... spent hours getting to grips with the 'funny-mentals' only to realise that that most of it is hogwash because most of the data is manipulated and the 'facts' simply cannot be trusted, nor the deceivers delivering said 'facts'. Now i stick with my charts, they are more reliable than the froth. Candles give more light than the Game-Show hosts running the economies.

This. On the 4H the price has dropped to a major resistance, retracted to around the 50 fib, and then continued to fall to the next major resistance. It has done so for about 8 days now. News doesn't matter, funamentals do not matter. This has been the trend for the past two weeks. I've seen people post here continuing to try and go against this short-term trend. How many have blown accounts on this (or at least reportedly). It boggles my mind.

The price hasn't shown that it wants to go back up, why bet against it. Why not wait until it has proven that it wants to change direction.

I'm extremely new to this, but I would have to wonder why fight the market? You can not win. Maybe you will have victories here or there, but eventually it will grind you into dust.
