Facts? what rock have you been living under or do you just read some US newspaper and watch CNBC?

Google Nomura, last month they closed their fund after having raised 3 billion or so and were over subscribed within a month of launching. There are so many Reits doing the rounds with foreign investors throwing silly money at them. UBS was oversubscribed, HSBC is over 10 billion. You want me to go on or do you think you can put in a little effort in your answers to other people posting. Just screaming it is not true is like a child throwing its toys out of the pram.

There were over 20 IPO filings of Reits with the SEC last week alone.

Two whole companies? That's all you can come up with?

The fact remains: A strong US Dollar hurts US exports (hurts US businesses). With a weak US dollar more overseas consumers will buy US products (good for US business). A strong US dollar hurts US exports, but helps US investments.

The problem is that we have incompetence in the FED, and we have incompetence in the WH. Who would want to invest in that?

I said that investors buy at the bottom. Such as this current real estate market. Gulf said they didn't. I told him that I witnessed it my self, Cloggie showed him the numbers. gulf disagreed. Ok Gulf you're right we're wrong it's done now, The market is open, let's make some pips!

I don't think you're reading what I wrote. Of course there will be those that buy at the bottom. It's not all about real estate though it's about investing in business, and investing in bonds. Which FI aren't doing.

I do agree on the....Let's Make Some PIPS though!

The EUR/USD closed with a break lower on the weekly chart, causing many to assume that the USD weakness trade has ended.

We agree that solely looking at the EUR/USD chart could lead to that assumption, however we would rather look at the whole picture.

We note that US Yields have rallied and Gold has fallen in price. Some would say this means the USD will now strengthen.

We have issue here. If the market believes that rates will rally sooner rather than later, then we have to ask why are stocks higher?

Equities are somewhat valued based on the NPV of their future expected earnings. A higher interest rate means a lower value.

We believe the USD strength, EUR/USD weakness is a false break-out that will be supported at these levels by Central Banks who remain extremely long USD.

Long positions in both the EUR/USD and Gold stood at extreme levels with weaker longs since flushed out.

We take the stand that the trend lower in the USD and higher in Gold will resume next week.

Hi everyone, I hope all had a great weekend. Back to the grind now lol. I believe we may see a small retracement here, to levels around 4700-4766, but most notably being 4760. I'll be looking to establish another short position in this area....

The EUR/USD has sold off over the past few days following a better than expected employment report and the corresponding rise in US Rates.

However Bernanke's statements yesterday (dec 7, monday) explained that the Fed would still be on hold for quite some time.

This morning EUR/USD bears were emboldened by the downgrade news for Greece, however this has been whispered for weeks now.

The EUR/USD and AUD/USD at these levels seem to offer a significant buying opportunity. Much like they were after the Dubai news broke.

would be so kind as to look at there charts from Aug 7th. That was a better than expected NFp report, and the market did just that same thing. Not as drastic a downward move I might add, but still over 300 pips. What happened next? further move upward! Have a profitable trading week!
