Price still in the same place , one pattern go & another come and they continuation in nature but nothing happened yet.
I see symmetrical triangle /bearish pennant though neutral ( break anyside) but usually continuation of the previous movement and develop in the middle area.
price to reach 1.4744 to decide what next continue up ( breakout upside ) or back to break 1.47 to down (breakout downside )
any specialist can define more clearly if any here & quide us rather creticising & so so.

Ive been having a rough time this week with some really crappy entries on my part, having lost about 50% of my starting balance, down 71% from what was once a profitable 72% profit on my starting balance.

It is clear to me that I lack the mental stamina and emotional control as after a year of trading now I can barely stay even. Of course Ill keep trying, but I have to find a way to cover my mistakes when I slip and fall.

So here I am, trying some self coded EA's, and some modded EA's of others, and I see this test account I have running (http://www.myfxbook.com/members/jrie...est-01-20/8359) that has 119% profit in closed positions with 206% in open positions.... in a week. Granted, playing with high risk trades... but I also have another account running with 14% in closed positions and 27% in open trades with only 5% risk per trade.

Many of you have said that my use of SL and r/r and just overall MM is terrible, that if I could figure that out I would be a successful trader. ...

So my question is this... lets say that Jan rolls around and these forward tests of mine are still profitable... is it worth jumping on, or do these things tend to be short term luck items?

Personally, I'd never trust an EA to do my trading. I do fine with my 2-4, maybe 5 trades a day. Trading is alot more than just techs and funnies, it has alot to do with "experience" and "gut" feeling.

Others love EAs and wouldn't trade any other way. That's fine too.


Updated: also if you're not doing it, here's what I do. Over the weekend I usually take a couple of hours and review all of my winning and losing trades from the previous week. Hope that helps.

If you have good controll & max success rates & now suddenly start doing wrong , what i do in that case , 3 wrong entries in different set up smaller tf in one day > take the full day rest ,3 bigger set up failure in higher tf & lost sufficiently take full week rest. and when totally puzzled with mixed buy & sell orders in the same pair or even different pair & out of controll to what do what not ,just activate EA having close all trade in the terminal & close my eyes, next restart afterwards.
Mostly I do start loosing in thursday & friday .
I think you need a rest , evaluate your strategy & stop the EA things & restart with fresh idea & mind.

Hi,
I'm a bit longer term trader(well most of my trades last from 2 to 10 days) so I make a decisions from the daily graphs and yesterdays price bar was "a inside bar" and I think we're going to see at least some retracement from the previous "brutal" downfall,so I assume the best play of this game is to put a buy stop 10 pips above the yesterdays high(somewhere 1.4765) and if market will choose to go up you will nest an easy 60 or more pips(from the London time) with the breaking momentum force,you know sometimes fridays are more moving than other days...sometimes not.But I'm newbie in trading so its just my two cents.

Everything at present is pointing to Price going up further, according to my analysis. I am long at 1.4721 since yesterday. I realise that movement is very slow and has been for a few days. Very soon I expect to add into this long position of mine, and I will post a.s.a.p.

Thanks for the views as long term trader .

Just think the big 5 wave UP have completed ( though still not but chance maximum as the last down movement is an impulse wave not seeming any 2nd consolidation , as if we may think it just 2nd wave & 3rd may resume any time over 1.4623 still not overlapped) then very big A wave down is on the way , for that it can down direct to 1.4100 38.2% fib before considerable retracement occure .
so just wait for 1.4623 break down can take a longer term short towards 1.41 or more . If not breaks up here today a minor retracement can happen if actually 5th ended & to break the previous high 1.5146 to prove bull continues. .just logic , market can take any , news can be any , world situation may be any .

I see price back from 1.4737 & not touch 44 & hence again I think it to go back 44 before any decision further.so a long scalp taken tp 1.4741 from now & below.

Sorry to say this but nothing happened we are still ranging and I expected this also. we could get lucky and get some bigger moves around 14.30 CET.
