Both Nav and MT4 work on my Win 7 Ultimate system with no issues.

If you read through these boards back a while ago, MT4 is an entirely different backend than Nav and not compatible, thus the reason you need to open a separate account.

1) I hv no idea why it doesnt work that is why i am asking for help here as the LIVE CHAT didnt help much. It works fine on Vista..for some reasons it doesnt work in Windows7. An error msg "Not enough hard disk space available" which is not true as it have more then 250GB free. Justfor Justin and your info, MBT Nav is installed in the C: root drive. Maybe u can help huh?

2)I know MT4 and Nav are of different codes. what i am suggesting is to cut thru the paper works required for existing clients. MBT already have our data, why do i need to fill it up again simply coz its a different platform. Platform and Paper administrative issues are different from customer's perspective. Unless there's business reasons for making clients refilled the forms.

anyway...my Nav is still not working after uninstalling and reinstalling...i missing my trades

ellipses,

have you tried running the Nav in compatibility mode?

I don't have Win 7 but that would be something I would try.

I would also download and reinstall Win 7 chipset drivers for your motherboard, which is if you haven't done that already.

this is a win problem, happened to me installing a totally different app. run the disk cleanup util. have it search for files you can delete, dump your temporary items and/or whatever else you dont want/need and it'll fix it. Somewhere win writes an enormous and erroneous temp file that eats all your HD space.

Hello Justin:

Is there anything going with your GBP liquidity providers? Frankly speaking, except GBP pairs. other ccy are quite decent in spread wise. Hope your company could negotiate more competitive spread for GBP in future. Thanks.

All the best,
Zkf

hi justin

been demoing your nav on forex for the last month, very very fustrated with the reliability of it todays the worst day, server has been down for 2 last hours.

had the following errors,

unable to log in.
openeded account to find positions opened, not by me.
unable to close positions.
passwords not working
all of the above erors happening all the time.

have been reasured by you very helpfull staff, that this only happens in the demo enviroment, live ok.???

what a crazy way to try to attract new customers give them something that doesnt work properly not occasinally, all the time every day ive had issue.

i find this astonishing, that you release a piece of software that doesnt work, very very unprofessional.

imagin you take a car for a test drive, you drive down the road, and suddenly the breaks stop working, are you going to take the reps word that the one you get will be ok??

this is not just isolated to me as other traders have told me of same errors.

(just opended account to find 2 positions open, not by me, unable to close them. contacted helpdesk again who said there was an update over the weekend??? was it tested?? try again in an hour!!!!!!!!!)

i have been looking for a broker for a few months now starting to loose faith with mb.

update of the above, ive now lost faith with mb, now looking for another broker.

(really impressed with your time here promoting mb and all other aspects of mb such as customer support pricing, was really hoping to use mb, but if you cant get the demo right seems you cant be bothered as its been going on for sime time, whats live going to be like?)

Demo on the Nav is usually fine. Demo on MetaTrader is kinda sketchy sometimes. Live environments of both work perfectly.

I have been running Windows 7 64bit on multiple computers and MBT Navigator works just fine. I always install fresh OS, never upgrade from previous version of Windows.

I had that problem last night but they fixed it for me already.
If you still have the problem, contact account support. They should be able to help you.

In order to integrate Metatrader 4 with MB Trading's ECN/STP execution, some behavior related to deal desks is not available. The following list describes certain functions of Metatrader (referred to as Generic Metatrader 4) and how they behave differently with MB Trading's Metatrader 4. Click here to download a PDF of this page.

Generic MetaTrader 4 allows you to add a stop loss and take profit to your market order via “Instant Execution,” whereas if you place a market order in MBT Metatrader 4, those columns cannot be changed because you must use the “Market Execution” order type.

Infinity,

.1 lot = 1000 currency units
1 lot = 10,000 currency units
10 lots = 100,000 currency units
Ignored
I'm confused, is this MB Trading specific or something? From what I've read on forums, one standard lot (1.00) equals 100,000 units, one mini (0.10) lot equals 10,000 units, and a micro lot (0.01) equals 1,000 units. Am I missing something?

In other words, let's take the EUR/USD for example, how many units would it take for 1 pip to equal $0.10, $1.00, and $10.00?

You're talking deal desk language. On the MB Trading system, 1 = 10,000 units, so the $1.00 option you mentioned. So if you want 100,000 unit, you use 10. If you want 15,000, you use 1.5.

Demo environment is not to attract costumers... they experiment new stuff in demo before trasitioning it to live....

Judging a broker from a demo environment is kind of LOL ...

BTW JUSTIN, What was that big announcement that you said was on the way? Maybe i just missed it? You said at the time you guys reduced the commissions and said something like "And this isn«t the big news... wait for next week" can you please fill in the blanks?

very strange comment,

if the demo doesnt work are you going to deposit your hard earned cash into an account knowing the demo doesnt work??

you download some software and demo it for a month and it doesnt work, but the makers assures you as soon as you buy it the version you get will work are you going to buy it??

gave my account another go today, worst fault you could have, unable to close position that was in profit (still unable to close it).

contacted your helpline again your IT was working on demo again, thats the 3rd time sunday, monday, and today.
(they openly admit they have problems daily)

Same here,

For the last 4 hours EA has been ignored and attempted manual intervention only gets "off quotes" or "no connection" response, as does attempts to place new orders, very frustrating.

Actually, yes, because I don't trust any broker. They can make a demo environment that makes you feel like you will always get a perfect fill, and then when you open a live account, suddenly they hammer you. That's what I never understand with people about FX. You don't need to demo, it is a scalable market. Open a live account and trade micros. Now you know exactly how the execution will behave. The experience of trading with MB is a near perfect one, but it's too bad that you are spending your time trying to get the pretend platform to work.
