Have you tried in Mozilla just for kicks?
I can report this problem happens to me is well. When you scroll down to the bottom of a page, i's like it pops back up to about half way down the page. It's a weird bug -- I mainly use Firefox for all my browsing.

hello

I have been reading reviews that the MetaTrader client is still somewhat unstable (price swings/jumps of 50 pips even). Has anyone experienced this? I am thinking that maybe I should use the navigator instead and get a 2nd program for charting.

anyone with experience, i appreciate your input

I run both and the quotes are always identical. It comes from the same feed, so I don't know how they would be different.

Me too...I run both live and demo simultaneously and have never noticed any differences. I haven't been live very long, but I've been using their demo for a couple months now.

I have the same problem using the latest version of Firefox as well. The page keeps jumping back up when you try to scroll down. Maybe it's from the live quotes box? Seems to jump whenever the quotes update.

A re-post from last week for those that missed it.

Dear Forex Factory Members,

Effective Sunday Nov 29th, at start-up, MB Trading will be lowering our FX commission rates to $2.95 per 100,000 USD traded from $5.00 per 100,000 USD traded. All accounts, both Navigator and MetaTrader will be affected and moved to this lower rate. We know that this request has been a long time coming for many of you. Now that we have a fully working MT4 (coming off public beta shortly as well), our classic Navigator, and a web-based Navigator coming too, we feel that now is a great time to bring our execution and various platforms to you at a lower cost. This is essentially a 41% decrease in trading costs for most of our existing customers, and we hope to see many more of you check out our award-winning platforms with this new reduced rate.

Please note that due to higher cost of operations, this rate will not apply to accounts in China.

In addition, we have a major announcement coming January 1, as you will see reflected later next week on our website.

Hmm not sure about the criteria for getting out of beta, but it still has bugs in the display of commission and total PnL, as well as in the display of PnL when an order is filled with slippage... I mean it reports wrong numbers... unless the idea is to use MT4 just for trading and Navigator for PnL reporting, I think I read this somewhere but not sure about it.

If you have been to one of their courses on MetaTrader, MetaTrader reporting is not FIFO compliant. Therefore, statement reporting is shut off (Trade tab still exists and you can still do runs, but you get true statements that are accurate with FIFO accounting via MBT website login).

Also, MetaTrader as written by MetaQuotes does not have the field for closing commissions. They have only one commission field per trade, which basically tells you that it was designed for a deal desk. MB's bridge or whatever you want to call it makes the adjustment after the fact to add the closing commission to the commission column (opening commission is placed there immediately). You can run a quick custom report in account history a few minutes after you close a trade and you will see correct numbers (or everything updates if you close/open the platform).

Either way, everything is correct and immediate in on-line statements, which are handled at the Nav level. It's a nice solution for getting all of the functionality out of MetaTrader without crimping what it is designed to do much, but you if you want immediate accurate reporting of fills, use the website and not anything inside of Meta and it all works out just fine.

I've been using it for a while now and everything works great. But, the interesting thing is that if you Demo it, the statements are turned on since they don't have an online area for statements in demo accounts. In other words, the demo is a great place to mess around and test your EAs, but the Live environment is truly a different experience in the sense that it never goes down, always seems to execute great, and the on-line statements are different than Meta statements.

Yes, $400 minimum deposit applies to MT4 and MBT Navigator accounts.

Hi Justin,

2 Questions

1) I cant launch my MBT Navigator after installing Windows 7. I hv emailed my problem to the support team, currently there no replies. I have chatted LIVE with the support, they cant solve it as well. So can someone pls tell my if MBT Navigator is support Windows7.

2) Why do existing MBT need to reapply to use METATrader? I am told to reapply, go thru all those forms fillings again. It's ridiculous. It's a poor customer experience. Can you guys make it a better transition or alternative platform for existing account holders.

I am from China. Just want to open a live MT4 account but I learned about it was unsteady sometime. Can you tell me Either Nav. or MT4 is best fit for me? Personally I prefer to MT4. Thanks!

MT4 with MB is no unstable at all. Last four months, not one bit of downtime or any issues. Who told you it was unsteady?

Both Nav and MT4 work on my Win 7 Ultimate system with no issues.

If you read through these boards back a while ago, MT4 is an entirely different backend than Nav and not compatible, thus the reason you need to open a separate account.

Hi Justin,
I have a Linked MB account where I can toggle between my Futures account and my Forex account. To switch accounts I right click and choose select account and then go to file and choose my layout. Although it's quick, is there any way I could have the ability to trade say, the euro/usd, and trade maybe a Gold contract without having to switch accounts? In other words have an order window open for both accounts at the same time? I trade fast moves and I wish I could place orders on Gold and euro/usd (forex)through my Navigator without switching back and forth. Thanks.
