Ok, i'm out of my shorts, managed to grab about 130 pips (98 + 28) on the EURUSD. Got stopped on my trailing stop at 1.4785. It may continue down, but i'm happy with my 130 pips + 70 pips on the GBPUSD which also had its trailing stop hit same time as EURUSD retraced. Maybe opening new position near the ECB news
I'm back with the short positions both on EURUSD and GBPUSD, had a nice hourly nap and what did i see when o got back to my screen, both prices hovering almost on the same price i closed them before, only this time coming back from a little retrace. I just got back in and already 30+ pips and BE. Its always good to have "free trades" open Now lets see what happens on the ECB thing...

EURUSD short @ 1.4804
GBPUSD short @ 1.6348

EDIT: Stopped out at +5 on both, before the ECB.

No worries...depending what type of trader you feel you are, meaning long term or intraday or even scalping( would not advise) then short term is bearish but the long term is bullish....now today i`ve taken only shorts, one decent one and the other i jumped in early and had to sit and wait it out..its going ok now for me but i`m gonna close it now for 16 pips profit as i dont wanna be caught on the wrong end and knowing my luck i will be so for me i`m out till after liquid lunch...

you have to go back to original post to understand. or fridays blue chart. 4890-4619 divided by 2 plus 4619 = current low +- pip.. this is a bearish sign.

short term i think you can be happy hitting the 4753 which is the s2 support line......just with news time coming i dont have balls to hold!

very nice I like it, but my plan is to go short once 4768 is taken with force....

larger trend is still up, i agree. that's why we always have to be careful with shorts.

in my opinion this time there is good chance to break Weekly trend line, and if we manage, bears could take control for a longer time.

ECB'S QUADEN] is on the wires making fairly standard comments to the effect that i/rates are appropriate before noting there is absolutely no need to tighten monetary policy at this stage given low inflationary pressures. The governing council member adds that the order and end point of an exit strategy is not pre-defined while a further strengthening of the Eur/Usd fx rate would hit Eurozone growth ahead. Given the recent improvements in economic indicators, Quaden remarks that some of the Bank's unconventional measures are no longer needed or required to the same extent as in recent months, echoing comments made by Trichet earlier this morning. Separately, and according to Portuguese newspaper Publico, [ECB'S CONSTANCIO] is close to winning the race to replace the soon to retire current incumbent Papademos. EU FinMins will nominate a VP on 18-19 Jan and the a candidate elected on 25-26 Mar.
