It's late night/early morning where I am and here I am looking at charts and events for next week. Yes, I'm addicted to trading!!

However, inspite of the evidence presented, many world leaders, including Barak Obama and Canada's Stephen Harper, seem determined to ratify it as soon as possible to make sure that their constituents do not get to vote on it.

I studied geography and climatology at University and I have continued in the years since on my own. I can state absolutly, that Global warming, if it occured would not raise sea levels. Take a glass full of water and then put in ice cubes. When the ice has melted, the level will be lower than it was before. Add the fact that a warm atmophere can hold more moisture than a cold one and that the atmosphere is much larger than the oceans. You will immediatly see that Mr. Gore's campaign is merely a "Global Warming Ministry", based on bad science and having an adgenda which is quite different from what he states.

lol yeah weekends kill me, i trade through the day everyday and weekends come and i`m at a bloody loss.......This is the best job in the world as long as your bank account stays healthy!

My tastes don't run to megalomania.
The $5500 was only a vague guess, If it occured it might be years away, and given the probabilities for inflation the value might be irrelevant. Diversification is the best for everyone. I can really only state a few things for certain on gold. 1) the supply is finite.2) it is expensive and timeconsuming to produce more. 3) In real dollar terms it is very cheap compared to historical values. So you decide??

I hear ya. I'm seriously considering investing heavily in gold, but I'm waiting for a retrace from current price. I hope I don't 'miss the boat' by waiting. I was looking at the gold chart just yesterday and marveling at how much it has gone up since the early 2000's (even with inflation accounted).

One last point I would like to add to the 3 you stated: global women population is increasing. You know how women can't live without their jewelry hahaha.

Dam just noticed both bernanke and trichet are speaking on monday..this messes with my trading as the markets wittle news out of there speech and hard to see where the currency wants to go !

I was just reading the messages of yesterday and those posted during the news and its just amazing how many folks were trying to go long after a 100p drop. I wonder how many of you or yesterdays bulls got a margin call? Its strange to see people trying to catch a falling fireball.

Yea news throws everything off, but not the whole day. Just be sure to stay away the hour(s) they are speaking. You can actually make nice pips in the aftermath.

Your analogy is remarkably inappropriate. The ice that can significantly affect mean sea level if it melts is not in the ocean, and so bears no similarity to your ice cubes in a glass of water. There are huge masses of ice that are on land, not in the ocean. The Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets are not floating in the ocean - they are sitting atop land masses. These are huge quantities of ice, representing large fractions of the total fresh water on the planet, and will easily effect mean sea level as they melt. And they are melting at an accelerated rate. You should go back to school, son - your lessons in geography were apparently deficient.

The heat in our galaxy comes from the sun. Everything in nature has cycles, stars orbit, seasons change. If the sun has been in a cycle whereby it is radiating more heat than before, taxing the middle class to death for some arbitrary meaningless carbon footprint is criminal. Each time a volcano erupts more carbon is released into the atmosphere than during the entire industrial revolution. It is no coincidence that Al Gore is a shareholder of the European Carbon Credit Exchange.

WAKE UP and smell the SCAM. Meanwhile real issues like mercury and aluminum waste byproducts which are attacking life on earth on a Genetic level, are not even whispered about. Monsanto is a much bigger threat to the existence let alone the well being of future generations, than the gas which you exhale every time you take a breath.

People will see and believe what they want to believe and justify those beliefs with the pettiest, flimsiest "reasons" and will deny the anthropogenic causation of Earth's climate change even as their neighbors are forced to retreat from flooding lower ground by the 100 millions. Of course, by then they will have found a new convenient rationalization by which to blame their political enemies for the calamity.

Trichet is speaking 2 times on monday- first time in morning, second time in afternoon..the afternoon session is considered to be high impact news.

Ben is speaking on monday as well.

This is crazy..sometimes you have open positions before news.

Looks like there is going to be some slight tremors on monday just like tremors after a major earthquake.
