As long as even the US simply don't want a strong Dollar, I see no reasons to fight against the printing press of the FED.

One word here before people get excited the new has to be better than expected, not just good. And fed has to tighten sooner than expected or remove stimulus measures, good we got some sort of dollar boost. If fed stops qe then we might see rates creep up.

Eur is backed by eurocrats common.

time for the big boys to close shorts and reverse. I'm all for the trend reversal at some point but at the moment I'm in the "why try to stop a fast moving train" camp.

You're right. I'm amazed as well. We still have job losses and people think it's over. The numbers are faked as usual. Come on, from 10.2% to 10.0%? No way without some fancy calculation.

The FED won't hike anytime soon. As soon as the dust settles and people look behind the numbers, well... < place your favourite direction here > ...

One bit of news on a friday afternoon is not going to change a trend, it is the in the US's best interest to keep a cheap USD and the rest of the world is using it to borrow against cheaply to get a better return on other asset classes, I have not closed any of my long positions and only see this as a better price to add to more. Yes the daily was pierced holding above support, the weekly holds and the daily was pierced on the 3rd of Nov but held above support, pierced on the 3rd september and held above support. This retrace is not convincing me the trend is reversing.

Well it's the end of the trading day, and a lot of traders have their panties all up in a bunch. I can tell you this. When I used to trade the beast (GBP/YEN) a 400 pip move in one direction per day was the norm. I moved over to EU because it trended much better. This 250 pip drop is really a non event compared to the markets a few years ago. We just all got to relaxed.
All that is left in FF is just plain garbage. "Cloggie"

Hum? A non event? A few years ago a move more than 40 pips in the Euro was an event. NFP was good for awesome 100-150 pips in the Euro.

agreeing with all longs about trend - reversal needs to have a confirmation before it is a reversal. this is a long uptrend, going to take more to confirm a reversal in my opinion...

so i made a few nice trades this week, was $300 in profit, last night i had a short open from 1.5074, no balls, didnt want to worry when i slept, set a stoploss! wake up, im out with profit and not enough balls to short again before news. hoping the open long trade will be a good one

A day like to day with the threads flowing back and forth really shows the different mindset and TF's among the traders, those that scalp and trade anything less then H1/H4 were stressed today and running for the exits, those that can see the bigger picture just take it in their stride and don't allow a 200 pip move change their immediate outlook on direction.

thanks much gator, i think im gonna book half. For the rest im looking for 1.4777-65 area target. If we close below the 100sma i think thats a pretty bearish signal imho...

yea true. imo weekly close below 1.45 could be short/mid term sign of reversal. i have my +120 pips and am happy anyway
