Since you are a psychotherapist I am sure you can grok hawkish and dovish.
As for dove, well I can attest that they are indeed delicious roasted. I grew up in the middle part of the USA and dove hunting was a popular boyhood pasttime. .20-gauge shotgun, #6 or 7 shot. Lay on the hood of the Mustang while your buddy drives it real slow throught the fields, shoot them out of the sky by the dozens.
