[GOLD] sold aggressively down from its record high peak of $1226.10. The precious metal suddenly turned better offered after a hefty strike at $1225/oz was taken out, and thereafter consistently given lower to the current $1212.40 low on reported selling from a UK clearer. Bids were swiftly absorbed spooking sentiment; but are currently back up, firming from ard $1215.20. Per the charts, an upwards trend still remains intact until prices fall below $1175 ie ard Tues's lows. The liquid market looks choppy at this stage; with further volatility expected into the ECB meeting. China has otherwise been warning of asset bubbles, with the HK Apple Daily reporting Hu Xiaolian, a deputy governor at the PBOC as saying that the CB views gold prices as very high and will be wary of "bubble" assets.

I've just taken out half my trade at 1.5099. OK so far!

Driver55,

I took a SHORT at 5085. It appears the lowest we got was around 5075....now price is challenging the 5100 area.....any thoughts on this PA?

Should I close my short for a loss or do you see some selling strrength?

I think we should get to at least .5121

EDIT: Take that back...I had upper trend line incorrectly drawn. May get a bounce before that.

I have added at 1.5102...I think we take out 1.512 once Europe Equity opens and would look for 1.514 by NY.

I think maximum potential is in GBP. 1.6707-1.674 needs to be cleared before a major upmove starts.. should take GU toward 1.7
