The correlation between the euro and PowerShares precious metals index has been about .77 for the past year. Similar for the commodities indices. Nothing to do with the CBs
I didn't mean the euro/gold cross - I should have said eur/usd xau/usd correlation

I just think that there is only a vague correlation at best between any fiat currency and solid currencies. I think gold is now just sort of a rectal thermometer. At it's present price it is reading some fear..About 102 F...Eventually, it will register Greed..
