Perhaps good money management is the key, if we are prepared to make the trade with a good risk reward ratio, we should leave it up to the market.

Easier said than done but I feel this is how this business must be undertaken.
If we plan good trades, the winners will take care of the losers.

GU and AU after climbing, they paused breaking down the Dragon. Now they are inside the Dragon.

Can we prepare the short now ?

I think they could be effectivly good set up...
But I would have probably trade GBPUSD more agressively :
Entry point when breaking down the trend line or wait for breaking the latest low at 1.6688
I would have move the SL quickly as the last movement was quick... I usualy move SL by trailing on the higher of the previous candle + some pips... (depends on volatility)
TP1 near DR1 with SL now under BE or trailing...

As this... (unfortunately, I didn't take this trade )
EDIT: I would have close half @ 1.6666 to lock a profit...

Hello, stopped the trade at BE.

Nice early setup, very effective on reversal. This kind of setup are studied by some Sonikers...

Instructional note: Allow the WAVE overlaying the Dragon to 1) go thru Dragon, 2) recede back to/into/thru Dragon, and 3) then come back out to previous extended price and (maybe) breakout at that Ep area.

We are talking about the WAVE, not just the price. This requires a series of candles, a group of candles to make each of these individual parts of the WAVE, and not just a candle or two. See attached charts.

Edit: Added third chart which is a current example.

TAH - this is awesome info - do you find that this applies more to the 15m or higher TF like the 60m? Thanks for sharing!

The trade I post on GU, can't be seen as a sonic dragon style trade... even if it takes care of the waves...

The SonicR method looks for setups on M15 timeframe. Higher timeframes, primarily H4, are for a perspective on new price movements, which look to be captured via the SonicR method setup on M15.

I remark DPV near EP, I would like to have a tight stop and TP near DPV

I have used a different chart which better demonstrates the "why" the levels are where they are. Hope this helps. Keep in mind, though this pair was used above as an example of the WAVE, the timing may not be so good now to expect a breakout. It is running late into today's session, and then Thanksgiving, etc. So, market may be winding down. But then, we can not predict what will, or will not be.

Edit: Of course, the DPV/PP, about 22 pips above Ep, could be Tp1 if you want a Tp close to entry.

EJ: Something I find interesting is that during the last 15 minute TF, the price was driven down, stayed down while trading volume increased well above the average. Price could be taken even lower, but the sequence of the drop, and THEN the rise in trades, makes me think this is getting some long trade activity.

GU: While it seems nothing is happening in the market now, this pop on GU, like the drive down earlier on EJ, has brought on high trading volume AFTER the pop started. Most of the trades are being made now AFTER the price has been pumped. So, in this case, it looks like the price is being driven high so that more profitable short trades may be made. This is speculation, of course, and not something that should be traded. Time will tell where the price goes.

A Low, a High, then a Higher Low then the breakout of the High with the breakout of the upper white line of the dragon...
EP @ 1.6688
SL0 @ 1.6657 (initial SL )
TP1 @ mR3 @ 1.6717
TP2 on the dayly high @ 1.6739

oups... didn't saw this post before I post my last trade...
Perhaps I had luck to have my TP1 reached... But, it seems the $ is attacked this evenning, just see the falling of USDCHF.. even if GPB is at the top of the day, GPBUSD could raise only with the falling of the $...
I like to use USDCHF as a indicator of the strengh of USD... coz it really moves by the stregh or the weakness of the USD, not of the CHF and so we can make corelation with pairs USDxxx or xxxUSD...

Now, you are right ! It's no time to begin trades now... end of session and thanksgiving tomorrow... it should be somewhat flat till then..

How come people are considering taking short trades on GU when the CCI is telling them quite clearly, this isn't happening?

Any chance you could post an example of how you are looking at H4 for the perspective of price movement?
