I am beginning to think this will not take place. Four times up to Ep and no breakout, and trade activity is falling off. Either that, or if it does finally breakout upwards, it should be a good move, what with all the preparations being made.

Thanks for the reminder, ddaytrader. Meanwhile, it is getting wound tight!

Edit: Updated chart. If this winds any tighter we will have to call in the paramedics to apply paddles!

Rastaman didn't code it; I got it from another FF forum a few months ago. It was originally designed for the GU pair, as that was all being tracked at the time, but I use it for visual clues on all currency pairs to highlight what happened between 7-9 AM eastern.

I've noticed that very often a breakout after the 7-9 am period is just temporary, and a few hours later a big reversal will occur.

Still, it's just another information tool to assist me in my forecasting efforts. If anyone else wants to use it, enjoy it.

GU: With today session coming to an end, imho so is the prospect for this trade. I am calling it null and void. At this point it could go either way, at least that is how I shall look at it.

I am totally .
Set up my trading plan then my wife asks to go out for something for 15 mins, it ends up taking 2 hours, I get back and London has opened and everything has gone on its way. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Thats ok RM, it happens and most important is the consistency is there for the next trade. Unfortunately I have not achieve that aim yet. I just cant seem to stay in a trade long enough for it to run its full course through the day. Makes me want to switch off the monitor and walk away after putting on a trade just to fix this.

Well, I am in Japan so time wise we are probably not that far apart.

I had also been watching the markets and planning my entries all day in the Asian session, but I found it makes me too tired when London opens and I lose concentration and get edgy.

Sonic recommended to start looking for setups an hour before the LO open.

Recently, I setup my charts in the morning and look at larger tf for obvious turnaround points that may get hit later in the day. Then, I leave it alone until an hour before the LO and then plan the trade based upon the updated information.
It seems to help psychologically, as I am much fresher and calmer.
