Seems that in these new times, trading the EU is a totally new situation. The euro is now in a win win situation. if news comes out that is good for Euro, and bad for U.S, the Euro gains strength. Now, if news comes out that is bad for the Euro, and good for the U.s, the market plays the risk trade, and dumps the dollar which is good for the Euro. New times I tell you!
All that is left in FF is just plain garbage. "Cloggie"

But which news? the most important news for the dollar is the GDP after 90 mn from now!

News/risk trade used to work back when you could trust all market participants. This is not the case anymore and it is pretty damn obviou$ who the black sheep is.

Nothing high risk about that entry at all. On the daily we were still above my moving average. But even more so. Thanksgiving is a few days away. does anyone really think that the price of oil is going to stay this low with a major driving holiday right around the corner? LOL You know how the manipulators are.

still a lot of sellers in that 4990 zone, but a better than expected gdp could blow through that resistance finally

You may want to collect on the spike and then close. i used to trade news back when good news was good for the dollar lol, i noticed that generally which ever way the spike went first, it usually had an opposite one of same intensity if not more to follow. Good Luck!

Probably not! However, I enter for the long term + I'm on a demo account so I'm just playing with ideas.

There is NOTHING out there to break the fundamental daily trend UP in the euro. Until the fed makes a definitive statement about ending easy money, the fundamental trend for the dollar is DOWN. That means gold will continue to track towards 1200 in the next few days and weeks and the euro should make 152/3. Then I expect a pullback and consolidation to 1150 on gold and 150 euro which will become the new base of support as soon as the Fed starts talking about raising rates.

But talk is cheap...and the markets and the Chinese know that. So, the dollar will drift lower Gold toward 1,300 and euro to 1.60 into Feb/Mar before the fed actually takes action in Mar/Apr 2010 - but only because bonds begin to collapse and pull the fed along...

A good chance we break and close above 1.50 today I believe.
