Have gone long eur at 1.4952 with a stop below 1.4932 and an initial target of 1.4985...

I'm starting to see it that way also. The longer we are "stuck" in this range, the more I believe it is forming a base to go north. It has been the trend. We also haven't hit fibo level 76.4 on the chart below (high of 1.60 and low of 1.235~). I also see a trend line from the uptrend starting back in October/2005 (possibly longer) coming into play as a possible upper trend line (cone forming). We may not get up there to bounce off it, but I'm thinking it will center in the cone (or at least stay within it). See illustration below.

we can sell at 1.4933,and the target is 1.4900,i think it will get the point.

That is a monthly chart you are using? How big are your stops? Whyy would you use a monthly chart unless you were a long term IB trading?

on H1 Eur had not broken 1.4937 for 5 straight hours. This was not a model based trade... it was more gut feel... which is now obviously wrong.

32 should be one important sr ( got it ,pivot ) & bounce but no bullish pattern in m1 yet . reduce some short loads here & may take long for some pips though most shorts taken at the top continues.

Use monthly chart and trade daily.. That's suicide, weekly is still acceptable but monthly.hmmm.

Well gud luck. another 26pip before my TP is hit.

I'm not an IB trader, but I normally trade long term as it is the most predictable. I will only trade lower timeframes if I get good indications to do so, which is rarely by my methods. Lastly, I don't use stop loses.

I posted monthly to show a pattern. I normally don't trade monthly either. I would say I look at 4H and Daily the most.

Still holding short from 4985....not sure that it will get to the lower trendline, I'll be looking seriously at S1 as a TP (if it gets there), but I may change that depending on the way it gets there..
