Some European or middle east bank must have sold its long positions to book profit and take prices lower so as to shake up the market structure and then buy at lower prices for an upward journey.

Option expirey today should make the pairs move today. Also week ending moves should happen later in the day

Two of my models are indicating up, with a target of 1.4989. I'm long at 1.4840, but will average down if goes below 1.4800 after the DNT expiry in 35 mins.

Thanks for the info on the dollar spike. Busting those trades will make alot of people unhappy. But maybe make even more happy.

given the number of stop orders below 1.48100 this thing should have dropped fast... the same is true for USDCHF but in reverse... someone is buying heavily... it seems that the descending triangle is still intact so perhaps we'll see a move to the upper edge of the triangle before retesting as we've done on the last 3 occassions...

Does anyone have any info on that big Chinese DNT option for 4800-5100? I think it expires today at the NY cut (London Close), but I am not sure. Thanks in advance!

i was writing about EJ breaking his triangle on 4 hr and posible down from 1hr 62 ema. i did take that short closed 132,10.

I was writing about that beacuse was hoping will that make EU t0o break his 4 hr range channel.This 4 hr candle should close below 200 ema.20 more minures to go.EJ is retracing too.I was also writing that i will not trade toda EU because we are in small channel will wait outcome.Still thinking that EU needs to make retrace to down before goes above 5000.I hear from other traders that tfis pool on up in last 2 hr was electronic triger.Not by bank but by some broker.Maybe they are change sides and pool price uo to exit from theare position.Will see

I just think that we are testing the dynamic support.. easy as it is.
Now, why we did not keep on going down?
1. because we have not broken it yet
2. because we have to re-charge the momentum
3. because on Friday volatility is always over the top!

Its a double no touch option discussed previously. For now I'm closing my long for a few pips gain until after the expiry in 10-15 mins. Will open again if it drops then.

A big option fight is a lot of fun to watch, and can be extemely profitable if both sides are dug in. When the option expires, anything can happen. In my experience, upon experation, price usually moves away from the area that was trying to be broken. This is not always the case, but I have found it to be true more often than not.

I am taking my profits and sitting on the side line for the next 30 mins to make sure the upward journey continues, small resistance forming at 485-486, forming in the last 50 mins.
