My initial SL was above the 15m kijun like you said. Since there was 132.00 nearby I set it to BE after 25 pips in profit. That's also what vic_elc recommends for this pair on the first pages of this thread.

Would you just trail with 15m kijun or do you think when facing a support line setting SL to BE makes sense?
you are right, I did not see the long wick of that candle. trailing with KS is best when your entry was a bounce off KS, makes technical sense, so I would have left it, and don't forget that the signal started 30 candles ago (also Day range was 113% ADR) and so was now reaching exhaustion, and bound to get choppy downthere. finally, I would have taken my 50 pips when it reached 132.00.

This time the entry was good!
Abot the stop - lbtrader answered you - 25 pips are not enoght to move stoploss. That first. Second - try to have logic for the stoploss, like "above KS - that is the line of the trend. Until the price is below, you are save" If you understand that, it will be easier for you to menage your positions.

Guys i have noticed that the SL is causing you problems

as Happy68 mentioned try to have logic for the stoploss, like "above KS

myself i see that the spanB of the entry TF is the best thing to act as an SL
i feel like it is the point of no return , so if the price broke the whole cloud this
is like a signal of trend changing direction , i have attached this pic for you as an example

I know some of you trade gold but does anyone here trade Oil with Ichimoku?
I have to say I think the shorter timeframes do not work well with ichi for this commodity-maybe the longer TFs only.
The Ts/Ks cross is particularly susceptible to fake moves on oil due to the volatility.

i have done so using Ichiomku but on 4Hrs TF and the results as usual were amazing . you can back test it yourself am sure you gonna love what you will see

Guys when I have time to sit in front of the computer and monitor my trades, which I highly recommend until you get the feel and understand the movement of the market. It moves in cycles and Fib retracement etc.

I usually place a manual stop close only! When I first started out I've always placed a hard stop. and most of the time get stopped out and then see it take off in my original direction.

The only thing about the manual SCO is you have to have the discipline to close the position once it closes beyond your initlilal horz bar.

But I agree with Vic and Happy68 use the logic for the stop loss.

Apart from the move in October, there are a few ranging periods in oil, which make it tricky to deal with although some of these periods would be successful if the trade was taken on kumo exit. The 2 trade approach would be good as well, closing one with initial 50% profit then leave the rest to run with SL at break even and trail...

u are doing good
just give your trades a room to breath , and trail ur stop once u are in profit the long of KS , i would have trail it using 1 h ks . and u would have made many pips .

I'm in @.8959 I see a potential of 20 to 74 pips. there is 4-hr Flat Kumo R @.8979 & daily R @.9033. I like how the TS is acting as support and the TS bounced off the KS.

I was sell g/u 1.6850 and closed early 1.6770 and long e/g 0.8835 close 0.8935
Always close early I think it's a prblme need to solve it.
Maybe psychology ,I tell my self i close now on profit better than risk but i need to enhanced this
