It's not as though the US can do anything anymore to stop the decline. The only thing would be to commit financial suicide, aka raise rates, and we all know that is not going to happen anytime soon.

do a timeline on oil and recession over the last 40 years. oil goes up recession appears (6/12m or so) shortly after. in the average recession it takes 2 years to work itself out (oil prices on made goods)..this is a 40 year trend..

and this downturn is not average.. you still got companies trying to unload products made with 100pb plus oil. and before economy is getting better oil spikes again.. time will tell if gov stimulis will save us or just prolong the future heartache. lets party like its 1929..

but i am still pretty sure about my short at 4960 ... as a matter of fact i am thinking of adding another short right now ...

And if they manipulate the oil price up with inflation and other things, it will still be expensive..between storage costs, interest, and a shrinking dollar...Time will tell. The alternative is too horrible to contemplate..

Morning all . just open computer to what happened to eurusd , gap up & still up .1.4963 if not stopped it to go at least 90 before the down should start .

Anyway good start , will wait for the short only now .
