Yeah well, like I say, it's got to smash 4600 before I'll be convinced that the bull is dead but I shouldn't be at all suprised to see this climb back to 1.5 next week. Either way, I'll take what is on offer, but right now, nothing is on offer!!

But anytime I do play a gap, I know the drawdown will only be for a week. Like I said earlier from my observations of gaps on an hourly chart, they generally get filled before the new week arrives. I can only find 2 gaps looking back on my charts at every week ending to week opening dating back to 1998 that the gap wasn't closed. I mostly trade from daily time frame anyway so used to the drawdown. Biggest question when I see a gap is entry, and how far away from the gap will it travel before closing.
All that is left in FF is just plain garbage. "Cloggie"

im not putting a party hat on just yet. it would not take much to turn this. a hundred pips. but i still think china is lying and less ez export demand decreases euro demand. and since commodities are in dollars usd wins by default. since commodities demand usd. we have to equalise. without govs influence. china may be almost broke.. if so i put party hat on..

look at the usd/cad there was a gap about 32 years ago.. and yes it was closed.. about 2 years ago..

Look, you're a really good trader, I know that from your entries and take profits, I see it on my screen. BUT, how is it crazy. EC says no +1.5, that wanker Geithner was talking up the buck, Equities hit MAJOR resistance, Double top formed on the daily with yesterday's close, gaps gafreakinlore down to 1.4712 ish, WTF else was going to happen.

i respect that. time will tell and its friday soon.. i already observed you know what your doing.. and we are between fibs from pairs inception..but i hope you got the better price. udx is not out the woods yet. so time will tell.. but then im looking for longer term clues on 20 pairs..and noticed a few. i dont have a dog in this race. but do on many others..

That is the only pair that I took the time to go back through the charts on, and only pair that I can clearly speak about. Week drawdown maximum. It's there in the charts.

There are two schools of thought from what Ive seen, and I spend most of my working day reading forex forums and so on, these are Technical and Fundamental, right?

As noted recently, there are more than a few technical indicators that seem to point toward a strong reversal into a bear trend. There are some guys over at Forexpeacearmy.com that are banking heavily on this in fact.

On the other hand, Fundamentally the dollar is in for a world of hurt. Several calls for a replacement reserve currency, other countries starting to horde precious metals, and of course the fact that the Federal Reserve is printing money out of thin air. Simple law of supply and demand should come into play, right?

At the 120 TRILLION dollars of debt my unfortunate country has aquired, it would take over 3000 years to pay that back at 100 million dollars a day!!!

One of the few options left to pay back this debt is to devalue the dollar... and possibly create a new replacement currency based off the value of gold (bring back the gold standard, yay!).

If you know any history at all you know that the US is not the first country to actively devalue its currency, and these other attempts resulted in ruin.

So the question is, when do we start to rely more on the fundamentals and not the technicals?

Is that with or without the Fed's interest cut? (I don't mean rate cut, I mean the interest it's charging you Americans on all those trillions for it's own profit as a private corporation.)

And Bernanke knows that devaluing the dollar is the only way to rescue the housing market, since most properties bought during the boom are now worth 1/2 of what is owed on the properties. He needs inflation for that to happen which mean IR are not going up for quite some time. That is why the $$ is increasingly becoming a funding currency.

LOL! Good point, they are mostly digital. In fact, I read somewhere if you took every single dollar in existance and gave it back to the Federal Reserve (which has nothing to do with the Federal Government), we still would be in debt as there is not enough money in existance to pay back the principle and interest.
