You do have to understand though that normally the pairs will follow each other due too correlation. I understand they didnt in the example you gave but I would suggest that is not normally the norm.
This is an example where correlation broke down for some reason, which would be very difficult to build into the logic of the EA as it was the type of economic news which allowed this too happen.
But, I guess your suggestion is one for Steve to think about. The danger here is that we end up building an entirely different Robot based on the...

In order not to deviate too much from the original method, I suggested to do this only selectively. We could say for example, exclude only 1 pair max from the pair due to news, if more are affected just turn off the basket.
Of course it is only an idea I got by observing the events last night, doesn't mean it' correct in the majority of cases. I take your word based on your experience, but I like to try and think out of the box and put my ideas forward. If you feel they have merit, we can pursue them, if not, no harm I guess

we are trading the BOJ's interventions to move it's currency toward a particular target value, occasionally to stabalize volatile market conditions, whatever that means. It seems reasonable that the global relationship of the JPY vis a vis all other currencies would be the basis for BOJ's action/inaction. We trade a basket rather than an individual currency for safety, so as to eliminate the possibility of having established a position in a currency which may be momentarily resistant to the effects of BOJ's intervention, for whatever reason, perhaps...
Put the code in your start(), the label is always displayed and the call to the LongBasketBuy goes at the bottom of the code. When I get some time today I'll modify your EA and post a sample.
