My bad. I see you did have the DP drawn on your chart, though you ignored it in your commentary. I assume anyone looking at 1 min charts are looking for very precise entries. If you look at the behaviour of the market today at the DP you will notice how the market responded, so waiting for it to be touched or taken out, with a reverse above the DP to go long, if that is what the plan was for anyone waiting to go long in that TF, was the high probability entry, as you would have the major players with you.

A 48 pip set up for cable confirmed .. but is the risk worth it? that is why I don't scalp .. got me burnt many times be4 ..

Of course this could move down to 1.3450 quite easily and even go as low as 1.32 at an extreme but I can handle that drawdown.. On the flip, it might not get below 1.3550.

The open interest switched from around -3k to about +3k after Friday's move alone (approx numbers). If a trader wants definite confirmation then a move above the swing high at 1.3750 and the YTD high at 1.4025 need to be taken....

We closed below 4872 on my chart.I expect this 1 hr to test 4875 area and to go from theare more down.Momentum is down,stoch is down cci is down rsi is down on 1 hr so from my techincal point of thinking i wait for 4 hr 4845 area.

Again news soon so who knows

Hey folks - I've been reading this thread for a month now and trading for two and doing fairly well, but still trading only one position/lot at a time. I appreciate everyone's analysis - it helps. I am looking at a beautiful ascending triangle on the hourly and went long at 1.4834 I think this is setting us up for a nice pop toward 1.50 today. Thoughts?

Yes man .. am not a full time pattern day trader .. am a swing trader and I look at H4 (rarely), daily, weekly and monthly TF's ...

bias for me is bearish atm, got + 40 pips , sl on be, & waiting for s1 reaction that lvl will also be a botom trade area of bullish move, regardles NFP s1 is more likely to be hited first rather then r1

I've found taking profit when there is every chance that the market will do a shakeout before news is defensive play. I'm in waiting for trade entry mode.
