It will never be a good place to trade so long as firms are allowed to sell what they don't own. Hedge funds that naked short stocks almost into bankruptcy have not gone away. And SEC regulations are no more protective now, for holders of real shares, than they have been. Reinstatement of the up tic rule and new regs about not loaning the same shares to multiple short sellers are ineffectual in stopping well monied short sellers from naked shorting over and over and over, using the cover of an old batch (at profit as they drive the price down, or hold it down) to support the next round of naked shorting. It is obscene theivery. And the only way to send a message to them is to not participate.

Edit: For this last pump, the CCI has hardly bothered to elevate at all! Is this getting too high....to the point where no matter how much they pump, fish they are trying to catch are less likely to bite?

Question for the Sonic, TAH or DD.

I am just looking at the E/J trade that went off today.
Looking at the chart it is hard to understand if the Higher Low I marked on the chart could really be considered a higher low as it was a very small single candle. In this case how would we handle that and would EP be around the area I marked with the green line or higher?

I am trying to learn to get into the trade earlier as indeed I am sure you can all see as Sonic pointed out today, I am getting in too late.
Getting in too late is a double jeopardy as it not only diminishes profit but also makes the SL maybe too wide to make the R&R ratio worthwhile.

Could someone, kindly mark on the chart where they would consider the lower low to be in this case and the EP.

Ha! Good one, Sonic! Yeah, they already got it pumped a good full days range...180 pips. So, if they have planned a huge dump, what better place to manipulate the starting point to than about 200 pips in the opposite direction! When they start to dump it, they will have an extra 200 pips in their pocket by the time it builds momentum.

Hi Rastaman,

I know you asked sonic,DD and TAH but i took the same trade and this is how i saw it.

You can see my entry point there is something that i always look for and thats a few candles which just sit above the dragon there is really no movement and than boom it goes. when i see those candles its a sign for me to get into the trade.

I hope you don't mind me joining in.

No, of course I don't mind. We are all here to learn together.

Your diagram would probably be the sonicr entry however, it would get us into this trade rather late. That is why I am asking this question.

I am wondering if this situation would call for the Advanced Sonic entry that DD was talking about. And if so, would it be executed as in this chart.


PS: on your chart you seem to have the HL where the LOW should be as after making the High it made a lower low and not a HL.

Rastaman, your case is one in which looking for HHs and HLs was thwarted by the tightening range just before the breakout. They are barely there, and calling them as such may be stretching the issue. This was a borderline setup. Technically, everything was there, but "the spring was so compressed you could not see thru the coils." I say it was a borderline setup, but maybe it should be considered a setup in which key elements were just not that obvious. We look for a more obvious WAVE. In this case the engines of the rocket on the launch pad were at full thrust, just waiting for the restraining lockdowns to be released!

I notice on your chart you made the two red candles the High & the Low and did not use the previous more prominent High & Low.

Is that ok to do? I mean, I realize that the HH & HL are only relevant to where we start to count the High and Low from and in my case I chose the previous High & Low. So your chart seems to give everything a totally different perspective. I hope we are not getting into the realms of the advanced sonic that Sonic himself thinks we are not ready to hear.

Looking for uptrend, nothing wrong with starting at the lowest low....L, H, HL, HH....etc.
