The last move hit the 50% of the 1.4480 - 1.5063 basically to the pip.

no inflation. no rate hikes. since usd is not expected to raise anyway. the ball of priced in rate hike falls in others court. add in catipillar

Well, something has got to give. We have bumped against 4825 several times with no luck breaking through. If we go down to test the 50% fib again, I will add another long with a tight s/l. Good trades all...

look folks aud/jpy is going lower 130 pips in the last 2 hours.. its a canary in the gold mine.. it has commoditys and the markets rolled in one pair..i strongly advise you to consider this before entering a new long.

I'm not expecting the test to happen in Asian markets, i prefer to see key levels tested during higher liquidity.

So even if this breaks now, i'll still wait for EU markets to give a direction, if any!

But in the end, it seems that most are taking profits.

And I think that's likely what's actually going on here in the markets in general.
The gains this past QTR, combined with the gains from the previous QTR
have been phenomenal. On the equity side, some issues are up 100% or more.
With just about every other market, the moves have been certainly something
to write home about. Marking some profits and taking some risk off
is certainly understandable at this point in the game.

So, if a pair retraces 300 or even 500 pips it does seem dramatic,
especially when such a move occurs in a relatively short span of time.
It's only when you compare that against the prior 1000 pips or more
that it begins to seem logical that such a move should happen and
we should even come to expect it every now and again.

Ever on the lookout for a possible change in primary or intermediate trend.

Well beyond profit-taking, that's a whole other matter entirely.

I think good traders possess the skills to at least recognize when
such a shift is underway.

From my standpoint, I always welcome the input of such traders, even when it conflicts
with my view, or is in opposition to my observations/conclusions at the time.

Yes but do they have the cojones to act? If I had the biggest balls on the beach I would have just shorted XAU for a 150+ pip drop in 2 minutes. Saw it. Couldn't pull the trigger. Someday....
