I know very few of you visit the USDCAD thread, and assuming you all have a minute or two to spare, now that London is closed, can you guys explain what happened yesterday (see post above)?

Could that long candle been some sort of precursor event as to what's taken place today with the USDCAD, EURO, etc.? Still looking for an explanation. All I could think of what that some huge institutions wrote off some USD and then quickly bought back in, maybe on a new week/month/quarter ledger? I dunno. Help me out guys.

its difficult for me to go short now , I was short @1.5023 and collected my profit @ 1.4950 , I honestly didn't expect bigger drop but happy with my profit for today .
my point is when the trend is valid in any direction either up or down , its easy for me to define my stop loss .
but when its a down trend and I bet on the up side ( for me personally speaking here ) I cant define my SL , specially with such 2 bear candles on the hourly chart .
ofcorse every one trades his own system , maybe its me who is wrong , but I never place any trade against a trend.

Traders say a Swiss private bank is responsible for the bulk of the drop in EUR/USD after the pair broke important supports at 1.5000 and 1.4980.

This name is not seen moving size often, but when they do, it tends to be for a Middle Eastern account, we are told.

Duce, have you tried contacting your broker first?

Usually those spikes are brokers fault.

I am long on the retrace. Entered 1.48944. SL 1.48770. 1st Target 1.4973.
If it will go against me the loss is only 17 pips.

Thanks , me too closed shorts from 1.5038 at 1.49 and placed 1 test long having sl 1.4860 now . There can be some bear continuation before bull if come back & below 1.4840 I will short again.

usd has been flexing 3 days on most other pairs. you had a doji before that. i dont get the surprise many have. its gonna be a dog fight. eu could of gone either way but r/r advantage was lower.

hehehe, no the SL yes, but didn't knew you can put them on profit side when you got enough profit.

Guys it is in the daily EMAs (22,33,44). Take a look, you will see the price has been away from the EMA for a bit too long (Sep2).
It has now touched the EMA22 and depending on what the GDP puts out later in the week, will either pierce through the EMA44 and put some distance to the sub 1.46s.

CHF above 1.04s
CAD has already pierced through and will probably stabilize in the 1.07s
GBP don't know.
AUD sub .88s and I want to laugh at this but as I said earlier, depends on the GDP read.
JPY 93S but who can tell with this one.
