A downside breakout can be expected ,H&S for a tp 1.4974 /1.49005 , so price tends to go below the pivot but part of a bullish set up.

The beauty of the markets is that nobody knows what will happen. Neither does anybody know what will happen with the currency markets. The fact of the matter is that it is more profitable to trade against what most people "predict"....In terms of the dollar, every time somebody in the media talks about dollars its negative or bearish. I think that should be the first clue to get out of shorts asap.

EDIT: It doesn't seem like the media has convinced traders to go short dollars because looking at www.dailyfx.com SSI index http://www.dailyfx.com/technical_analysis/sentiment/ , most traders are short EUro. I guess it's not what they say they do but what they really acually do.

thats right in line with my chart again almost exactly, i had long at 1.4961...well see how this data comes out for EZ and how PA acts down there....already good #s for french consumer spending

Thanks , Morning Trading cat , thats can happen easily as actual set up is bullish & 1.5150 is one important # ( IF WAVE 1=WAVE 5 then end of wave 5 will be min 1.5150) .
But I do not believe this is going to happen so easily ,the end of wave 5 ,much more to go up & hence before 1.5150 it should retrace sufficiently for another subwave 4 for few hundreds pips.Still did not forget it ignored the great congestion area almost without any retracement & time not yet over.
Just my hypothesis .

Strong euro correlators were in effect throughout the Asian session and what happened? The euro fell. We get some negative EZ news and it may do the same in the London session and hard.

The [FRENCH FLASH PMI]s continued their stellar rise in Oct, as the manuf index jumped to 55.3 from 53.0 prev while the services headline extended its lead, rising to 57.8 from 53.2 prev. F/cs had only been for prints of 53.4 and 53.9 resp. Both indices were driven by new orders/business, jumping to 58.0 and 57.4 resp. Recall, the outlook has become incresingly optimistic as of late, with notably Budget Min Woerth saying that GDP could grow by up to 1.0% in 2010, following a 2.25% fall this year, milder than the -3.0% prev expected. Earlier, [H'HOLD CONSUMPTION] for Sep has also come in much stronger than expected, rising 2.3% m/m versus a f/c of 0.5% and from -1.0% prev. The jump came on the back of a strong rebound in car sales, recording a 10.2% m/m increase. On an annual basis, sales also were back in positive territory at 1.0%, defying survey results pointing to ongoing caution among French consumers. 06:59 GMT - [USD/CAD] is holding steady above 1.0500 in early European trade, with trade feeling slightly better bid after a flurry of official statements yesterday kept the Cad weighed down. Initially, the BoC MPR said that monetary policy is exceptionally stimulative & repeated its pledge to keep rates steady until the end of Q2 2010. It also reiterated that a higher Cad will hurt Canadian exports. Further, BoC's Carney advised that FX intervention always remains an option. This is nothing we haven't already heard before though, & whilst the headline pair spiked momentarily higher, it quickly came back down to pre-comment levels as the pair ran into strong offers from die-hard bears. Whilst such factors will make for nervous trade ahead, specs seem more comfortable with selling strength. Technical signals also remain bearish for a return to 1.0377 initially. 1.0580/85 remains the resistance zone to overcome.
