Yes "waiting" is the name of the game with E/G. But that's cool. It's good to mix up the action. I will be watching for another southbound breakout like the one from .91. Maybe with some weak EZ news in a little while....

hmmm with a date 2012 i would think its all science fiction..we surely will all be dead well before 2012... swine flu!!! then you got pigeons mating with pigs.. bird flu... pigs will fly before you have to worry about a plane. besides the 2011 model on the piper have air brakes so you can do all that stuff. the 2011 model has a warmer for the automatic ass wipper.

wide blue line has moved.. sorry posted this a few hours too late. chart went with 5055/62 post. anyway its friday so this dont mean shit. but 5013 comes to mind.. if it was tuesday id say look for a base build there but its friday. clean up before you leave..dont forget to brush

I'm in agreement with that view, however I see the previous bar highs as a support area around 1.5010. (outlined in blue on 15 minute chart).

The real question should be what type of trader are you? Longer term or shorter term? Shorter term, yes, I think it's solid. Longer term, I wouldn't put my money into it. Also, I take into account the fact that the trend is up at the moment.

Liquidity matters, what we expect isn't confirmed at the first touch, we need confirmation. Asian markets, due to its low liquidity, can have their movements blacked out by just frankfurt and Paris at 7 GMT. Always wait for confirmation, unless you plan to bail out before that, or you're in from way below or above with a BE stop.

I had a trap set at 37 for an upside breakout. A second after I wrote that PA went up and touched my trigger but it didn't go. I don't expect much out of Tokyo, but I have seen little spurts of action before lunch on Fridays. Breakout traps are cheap to set & reload. When I first thought about it (omg) 3 hrs ago I thought to trap downside. Now I just don't care anymore. I have been bored into submission.

We have a load of news on the Eur and Gbp side later today, usually that means that in the previous hours no one will take risks.

Whenever we set into a trading day, we must be aware of the news coming in that day, to distinguish it from a technical trading day or an "unpredictable" one. Knowing this, you can expect certain behaviour pre-news, starting with asian sessions.

Usually that shows up as low vix, low volume movements, but a lot of limit orders waiting on the sidelines (and waiting to be eaten by both the spread increase and the wash & rinse both ways of the trading range before the (new) trend re-starts.

Bleah, my charts are turning bullish again on 520 so I cut shorts.
my edit: How great it would be if 505 was the top at least until Monday I will try to keep short scalps with that in mind as a stop, but I feel more comfortable read during US session. So die e/u! : )
