Diagonal line. A trendline of tops or bottoms. Price-action-specified lines of support/resistance.

oil at 80 when eu hits 1.5 should be good for a little retrace as well as stocks... very fragile.....housing still flat .. lets see what the next 24/48 says.. yahoo in 25m may move eu..

I think we have seen the top on EU. Two weeks in a row we have not been able to close above 1.496 area 11/07 1/08 2/08 resistance levels. If we close out this week below that number I think reversal is in the picture. UCAD has already started to reverse with dovish comments by BOC. ECB has already made it clear in a couple of occasion that they want a strong dollar. Earning season is almost over for the 3rd quater. Fundementals are going to now take over and we all know with today's housing numbers that we are not suppose to be where we are at present. DOW in my opinion is going to reverse its correlation with dollar and now act as a good support for the dlr. Then again I dont have a crystal ball like some ppl here do so take my analysis with a pinch of salt and a shot of petron.

I agree. For a few days now I have been watching and I don't see any reason that this pair should go much, if any, higher. I see 1.5 as purely a psychological target with very little to do with reality. We may yet see 1.5, but I honestly don't see much above that. If it does get there, it will be the major players taking it there because, like Mount Everest, it *is* there!

I see most of the world either technically out of the recession, albeit by a tiny margin, and most of the rest of the world at least seeing light at the end of the tunnel. Once the attitude of 'doom and gloom' is replaced by optimism, which is happening slowly but surely, the dollar will begin to claw it's way back....and in my opinion, we are at the embryo stage of that right now.

Now is not the time for parties and back slapping by the worlds financiers, but I believe it is time for them to sit back a tiny bit and have a coffee because the light at the end of the tunnel is clear, and it ain't a train coming, it's daylight!!

I believe this is going to be like this all the week and to finally reverse this strong uptrend channel. I have some shorts avg. 1.49 on a mistake that i had but without closing them Im long on 1.4940 until we have aligned the 1hr chart on the 4hr chart with the baerishness of this pair. We should easily get tomorrow to 1.4880-1.4840-1.4790 and ill have my winnings on the long way right now until we have that bear run.

Is this a good strategy and some of you play this strategy also. Didnt want to close them because of the medium term

I have just clocked something a falling dollar is not bad for chinese reserves potentially but for economy

Here is thinking

China don't publish breakdown of fx reserves. However some estimates are they only hold 800bln of the 2.2 trillion dollars in actual us dollars. Surely if the dollar falls it does not have much effect on reserves as they are better off as the value of all other currencies rise.

China imports 25 percent of GDP and US 10 Percent of gdp a falling dollar causes more inflation in China than America. Chinese exports are mostly imported parts that are assembled this can be a huge problem for chinese export sector. More importantly it can cause huge problems for China like in 08 when falling dollar caused a sharp rise in commodities, especially for a country with price controls.

I think Bernanke as people might call him clown has got this one right, hopefully he has cornered the authorities there.
