hi Belekas, how valid do you see this triangle?? i ask because of the sequence of touches being so messy??

Inside move sequence messed up for the triangle, yes. I dont have this pair, but i bet there was a good buy entry somewhere. Though, i like this EURJPY triangle alot better:

Hello Belekas,

sorry for the late reply, I calculated my preliminary TP levels by a mix of fundamental and TA analysis. Fundamentally, which was very important for me was knowing Oil hit a bottom. I had people in Dubai telling me that it costs the Emirates about 25 dollars per barrel to get the oil out, and most other GCC nations are about the same with the exception of Kuwait being in the teens. So no way oil was going to stay at below cost levels so Oil had to be rising. Thus the usd/cad long play will be losing steam. So now that I know a downward move is the most probable, after the break of the lower trendline I used the measured moves method and the previous years range to project price. The measured move gave a target of 1.06-1.07 range, while the previous years range would take projection to parity. And if you see price actually oscillated in a range within the 1.06-1.07 prices for a while before breaking lower. I actually exited 50% of my position at the 1.10 level being that it was a round psychological number and I wasn't sure of what reaction that would play, but then re-entered the short again at the 1.13 level once price went to 1.14 and fell below the long term down trendline. I mainly kept looking at Oil for direction, and my target for oil was $80 based on the same measure moves. So I held onto my shorts. I actually didnt' close my shorts till yesterday at 1.0330 level, as it was pretty apparent that cad interest rate was going to remain low and that was going to take the steam out of this rally down south.
I understand its not strictly an Igrok method but I've bought his book when he first introduced himself in FF and have always since used his ideas in my own trading methods.

I think the triangle you have drawn has broken out falsely to 136 resistance. I am now targeting 130. What do you think?

Sorry for late reply. Such things happen often. Thats why i like to project tops and bottoms and not trade the breakout. Dont get me wrong, trading breakouts gives plenty of pips as well, but there are many more factors that you have to take into consideration before pulling the trigger.

I short this one on the 3rd touch of the UTL with SL 40pips. And ended up hit my SL. Maybe 40pips is not sufficient for daily TF?
