Just watching EU for a possible Long setup later in the day.


PS: Changed my view slightly on this after finding out the pivot I was using is slightly off.

TP1 hit.

I don't like this volume at the 61.8 fibo at the retracement but it seems to be holding.

I should have entered this trade at the Red SL line instead of after the DP break but I don't like entering right before a major pivot.
Any, opinions or advice about this folks?

Ok, I think I can see where I went wrong.

I saw this Hammer on H4 and maybe waited too long for the EP.
If we look at the hammer on the M15 tf, we can see that it held and would have PERHAPS been a reasonable entry, right above it.

I think I need to hear what TAH or sonic have to say on this but if anyone has an opinion, I would be glad to hear it.

Since most of us (including me) use Sonic R...on 15m using Higher H and above Sonic Dragon .. I suggest we should stick to it...

H4 is just a reflection of what it show in m15...(that is 12 bars of m15 represent 1 bar of H4)

I did stick to it.
I was just saying I noticed the hammer in H4 and I then noticed the setup on M15. I wasn't trying to trade the hammer in H4.

There was a HH above the dragon, I just entered it too late. I mean, I saw it make that HH, but waited till it broke the pivot.

I found the Hammer forming in H4, waited till the HH formed on M15 and entered a bit late because of the pivot. Is this not what we are supposed to be doing? Or are you saying we enter on M15 before the H4 hammer completes?

Also, how is 1 H4 bar only 12 M15 bars? you mean 16, right?

I'm Not Sonic, But ...

The Setup For E/U Today, I Think Was a Good One. The Thing Is What Sonic Mentioned In His Last Post, Was Not Saying To Not To Trade That Setup. It Say's Wait For Setup In M15 When a Hammer Or Any Other CandleStick Is Forming On M15. And The Thing Is You Did. I Think Your Setup And The Thing That Sonic Mentioned Is On The Same Side Of The Road. So No Need To Get Confused.

But About The Entry That You Made, Like You Said, You Entered Late. Try To Use Pivot Points Just For TPs. I Use Only STRONG S&Rs (The Ones That Price Bounced Off It Many Times) To Postpone My Entry, Or In Many Situations, I Cancel The Order Due To Bad Risk:Reward Ratio.

If You Have Some Worries About The Pivot Line, You Could've Brought Your SL To Be When Price Hit It And It Feels Like Reversing.

After All, I Believe Today's E/U Trade Was a Good One, And I Took It Either. (I Traded U/Cad Short And E/J Short Too, First One Hit TP , Second One Hit SL) Total +110-33=+77 Pips For Today.

I was under the impression that M15 candle patterns are not very reliable and therefore SonicR is using H1, H4 & D1 candle patterns to determine a possible reversal?

Is this not the case?

EU M15: After the good run up yesterday, I am watching for possibly a downside break..... Frankfurt open in less than ten minutes and within the hour we should know which way they will move it. If up, then it may just be to the next whole number, 1.5000 - 1.5010 area, and THEN a strong downside move. All speculation.

Trade what the charts show.

Well, it has been over an hour and it is still ranging while the trading of it increases. It remains biased to the upside, but it could go either way.

Hello, Sonikers.

Checkout the convergence on the 4H GU chart.

I'm anticipating it to begin moving down in upcoming days, unless ofcourse it breaks the trendline. But we still have in mind that H&S pattern on daily chart. (TAH posted picture a couple of times, so I'm not gonna repost it).

What do you think?

Just getting my head around GBP/USD

Long
Looks like if it breaks the 1.64500 mark, it may reach 1.65400

Short
If it breaks 1.63250 it may hit 1.62500.

Unfortunately, I will not be around to watch this unfold one way or the other, until after NY opens.

I now favor the short because of the Shooting star it just made on H4.

It is now making like a break to the down side. But it is still early in euro session and we have US Open yet to come. And those traders may pop it up.

If it goes south, the chart shows how I am currently viewing it. Tp2 is about 118 pips below the session current high, and 118 pips is the average range for the last 30 days. Tp3 may be too far a stretch, unless PA collapses.

Edit: There now is a close below the Dragon after which the price moved up into the Dragon. So we have a SonicR Ep just below that lowest price. Closer in Tps may be better, especially if PA heads down and makes one before US open.....which may bring another run up. I'd take profit first rather than hold and see the PA driven up by US traders. By taking profit, if PA is driven back up then one could take advantage of a "replay" after already scoring.

Rastaman, 1.6300 seems like a nice resistance as well, I would probably use it as my TP1 if short set-up unfolds. Another thing that makes me pay close attention to this lvl is that it coincides with 0.7 ATR for GU (I usually watch this to see how far a pair moves intraday on average).

Edit: 161 fib extension of last swing is there as well.

EU M15: Still, it is hard to say the outcome. But the RSI is weakening.

Edit: Also, the H4 shows divergence with the last high candle a spinning top, showing indecision.....maybe traders unwilling to pay more, especially as the continual moves higher have no basis in reality. They are strictly manufactured, imho.
