Jay, allow me to comment if I may?

Since 'that thread' was created, this thread has become worse. I see people from 'that thread' come here from time to time, and for the most part, contribute nothing except to wield the big stick. Here, now, there are few experienced traders to learn from and so it is only natural that wannabe know-it-alls will frequent this place and use it as a pissing contest, which will cause this thread to deteriorate further. By asking people who's opinions YOU value to migrate to the 'other thread', those of us who are trying hard to learn and contribute will actually learn nothing.

Further, I see it as a tad hypocritical to use this forum as entertainment for off topic and silly 'jokes' and youtube clips etc etc that are way off topic. All that achieves is to perpetuate the nonsense here and encourages others to do the same.

How can I learn at all???????

I am trying hard, and i am polite and I post my charts from time to time and I can 'take it on the chin' if I'm wrong. But to draw away the last few remaining helpful and skilled people is counter-productive and will just leave people like me at the mercy of 'trail and error'.

I will be away fro 20 minutes, but I will discuss this with you if you wish :-)

I've gotta agree with this sentiment. Especially in regards to people from "that thread" coming to "this thread". You started a "pro" thread and laud it for what it is, but still piss on this one. At first I stopped posting here because of it, then I even stopped bothering to look here at all because of it. Now I only come every so often if I am Euro curious. Certainly don't feel the urge to share my analysis.

People should take a look at the G/U, U/J, G/J thread started by direct-trade to get an idea of what threads in this forum should look like.

Certainly I haven't been as impressed by this thread or the "EU Redux" or "Chickys EU charts thread" or trading801 EU thread at all as the few pages long G/U, U/J, G/J thread by direct-trade.

Not to sound crass but...what's stopping you from participating there instead if you feel this place is deteriorating?

It's not set up for a bunch of elitists to shoot the breeze.

To use your words, you're trying hard, are polite and, post charts from time to time and can 'take it on the chin' if you're wrong. That's exactly what the thread is about. Minus the chest thumping and pissing contest.

As usual, it's the minority that ruins it for the rest. If it doesn't apply to you, you have nothing to be concerned about. Frankly, I'm not even addressing you, I have nothing against you and encourage you to go about your life. I'm actually all lovey dovey with you. Well not lovey dovey, that's freaky.
