Yes.. when achor position changes .. And i know that sells and buys need to be on top and bottom. .. maybe some trade this method in live acc some time and can show example how he or she makes entries.. so we can compare with us entries.

However, to recap, you should be looking for spreads to contract and then expand again. I cant post examples as I do this from a live spreadsheet and not from an indicator.

If you are looking just at the IA, then I guess you would look for position correction and then continuation, though I can see that you would miss lots of movement waiting for that to happen, although it would keep you out of trouble.

The sells never took full control as I thought they would in post 2565.
The top anchor switched back to eur/jpy, and the profitcalc indicated
long strong signal again...

I bought eur/jpy and rode it for 80 pips...

hi all,
ive been trying to get the excell spreadsheet to function but am having some problems,ive followed 101s and francos instrustions and the prices with format is ok but some prices for certain pairs are blank , and i cannot figure it out.when i have run tests on ea s in the past i had to run historical data for the given pair to allow the back testing ect,could it be i need to run hisorical data on all the hedge pairs ? anybody who could tell me from start to finish would be very greatfull.
with regards to basket buy all,sell all,what i found help me alot was to slow down a little,i read the thread and many relating to it and started to buy and sell baskets with little reasoning as to why,when i was lucky it was good but on unlucky days or week it was bad.i then started from the beggining tradind pairs and no baskets,what this done for me was make me study the ia and after a while ,without to much thought was allways aware of the basket,the week the strong and the indiferent,patterns appear,things repeat themselves ,you will then see times when you will trade pairs or all the jpy pairs and when to trade the basket,unfortuatly ther is some work here but it will make complete sense,im no expert on this method but learning so much from watching pairs ect

Do you mind if I ask which scripts (for opening initial IA trades, 14 Buy and 14 Sell trade scripts, etc), indicators and EAs you're using to trade this Basket system?

Welcome Buddy.

I open all the trades manually because BUY/SELL scripts don't work good with me,sometimes they take a lot of time to open the trades.But to close,i use closeAll script.It is working fine,so far. Additionally,i am using 'Profitcalc' to identify the trend and '2ProtectAccount EA' to secure the profit.

Here are the live statements of the trades which i closed today and all were opened recently,infact even today.
Hope,it will help new entrants to learn something and understanding the power of this method as well.
PS:All the trades have been closed manually,not by the '2ProtectAccount' EA.

Wow, I made a lot of pips yesterday and overnight. I opened the IA trades and when I saw the Buys go to the top and the Sells go to the bottom of the Profit column, I placed the Buy trades. It was simply amazing to make that many pips overnight. Now, I need to figure out how to use the ProfitCalc and Account Protector EAs. Do these get placed on all 14 charts?

Thanks again Forex Insane. With your help, I feel like I'm finally getting some where. =)

Go Ahead man.
Profitcalc is used in your IA which would always be running.And the other EA is for the account,where you will be trading live.The second one is to protect your profit if it goes down,so you are not going to loose any money or having any drawdown because it will close all the trades in profit.
You go and read starting pages of this thread again.You will understand better.
PS:I made more +847 Pips since my last post.And all of them were opened today.So the total Pips for today are +2391.And many of them were opened today and the others were yesterday and on 12th. Thanks to trader101 and his system.

Ok, thanks Forex Insane. Appreciate your comments. I'll read about the two EAs again and where they get placed. I came out with about 1300 pips overnight all in a demo account of course since I'm just starting on the basket trades system. Unreal!

Hi Luke,

I am up to this point in the thread (post 149 - tomorrow I am going to work on it all day!) . I have my demo set up and my currency pairs jiggling around, although I'm not sure I have the indicators or EA's quite right. I still don't understand how Trader 101 works out which trades to take - I understand your interpretation of it all. These will help me no end. YOur generosity is incredible - thanks for all your help - you have made it indescribably simpler which for a newbie on the thread is a boon. Trader 101 - what a brain!!! I want to place my first cash trade within the next 7 days, so I have work to do!!!

Consider your actions carefully... seven days is NOT going to give you a feel for this system. Do you really want to throw your money away? This system is harder to implement properly than it seems. Would you go live with any other system without due diligence?

Demo until you find a way that works for you and do not trade it live until you are an expert in executing the various open and close scripts according to your signals and you have at least quadrupled your demo account. Also consider that this system is heavy on draw down which can happen quickly if you enter at the wrong time, so you either need decent start up capital, small lot sizes or accurate entries.

It took me about a month to work this method into a suitable trading method from start to finish and I am still working on it. It looks and sounds easy and once you find a way to work it, it is. However, TIMING is everything with this method.

Do not be so sure that you can go live in a short space of time. It will only guarantee your failure and then you will blame the system for your rashness.

I really appreciate your advice and will take it. The set up is taking time.
Once it's up and running I will test it as you advise.

Can I tal to you guys as things fall into place, not so I can ask stupid questions, but so I can test my thinking?

Overnight I got that when the buys and sells reverse neatly it means the enitre basket has trended up or down together - this makes a trade in the opposite direction for all 14 a good bet once the anchor at one end or the other hops out. The one I haven't got my head round just now is entry strategy when they are all over the place as they are in my test right now.

Working on it. Thanks for taking the time to watch my back on this one.
