Does the Dow above 10,000 and JPMorgan Chase & Co and Intel Corp returning positive results etc etc etc, dampen the view that the USD will end it's decline any time soon? I'm not much on fundies, but perhaps someone could comment? Link

hmmmmm i think the current main reason is the quantilative easing policy and the apparent all talk no action of support for strong dollar..

folks will be like " see they dont care.. why should we "

Today's support:

1.4888(main), where correction is possible.
Break would give 1.4860, where correction also may be.
Then follows 1.4833. Break of the latter would result in 1.4802.
If a strong impulse, we would see 1.4779. Continuation will give 1.4753.

Today's resistance:

1.4982, 1.5019 and 1.5034(main). Break would give 1.5053, where a correction is possible.
Then goes 1.5072. Break of the latter would result in 1.5087.
If a strong impulse, we'd see 1.5117. Continuation will give 1.5134.

Oct. 15 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. foreclosure filings climbed to a record in the third quarter as lenders seized more properties from delinquent borrowers, according to RealtyTrac Inc.

A total of 937,840 homes received a default or auction notice or were repossessed by banks, a 23 percent increase from a year earlier, the Irvine, California-based seller of default data said today in a report. One out of every 136 U.S. households received a filing, the highest quarterly rate in records dating to January 2005.

It is not surprising the the USD is falling... what is surprising is that neither Asia nor Europe is doing anything about it. I suppose it was all worked out and agreed upon at the G7 behind closed doors. Still, this move will really hurt Euroland. Even bigger pain in China.
