The market is at an interesting midpoint, no real selling pressure on the decline, HOWEVER this is the first retest of downsloping track.
I am currently neutral. The equity market hit an upper line and has backed off with one of the largest ranging 1 hour down bars for the month. I have been trading equity today after taking loss on EU earlier. This tells me that some unwinding has already started.
Support is ~1.4724 EU

Bid to cover on 6 MONTH BILLS was 1.1! US's 30yr auction was 2.3 times as much. Maybe that is a reason for the sell off.

Yeah - I entered above 4800, total of 4 positions, 30 pips profit each....so easy decision. Since I trade the lower timeframes, I'd rather pocket my profit and compound my earnings, re-entering when the timeframes exhibit clear momentum....

Often near strong reversal points, the market will often breakout for that last leg of movement to fake out the market before heading the other direction.

This leaves a lot of room for the suckers (dumb money) to buy at the top of the move in hopes of a continuation....when in fact, the market itself was manipulated by larger players for this very purpose.

Its commonly done in the Stock Market as well.

In the early 1900's, Jesse Livermore, was so famous for shorting the markets that large market players would play off his signals. To shake them off, he would place a small trade in one direction to fake the market and when there were enough movement to push the market, he would play against them and shake them out for a nice profit.

Curtis Faith, one of the most successful turtles did the very same thing...its a trick typically used by brokers to head fake the unweary...

well bernanke's dollar comments fully worn off now. But, maybe some hangover that will try in next 24 hrs before the patient is cured. - so i am a little bearish overnight US markets, positive USD.

Only if your money management sucks and your losses are larger than your profits - and only if your edge is less than 50%. You also fail to consider the impact of compounding returns. Consistent returns equates consistent compounding. I guarantee you, that squashes the "big win" anyday....

I am yet to see a pip system work in a correct sized account. I mean 20%-40% return a month - that's what professionals make. There is no professional system I have seen yet that does not take small losses until it get the big win. Or maybe I'm wrong.
