my results are the same as Gregarts except the 1st Oct, where i got taken in by a pip and the stopped, Gregart had no trade

Hi Grant, yep i see for october 1th but if you had an buffer (I have 7) it didn't hit the short

Hy, Guys.
Thx for sharing the Indicator (EA_breakout_trend_TP3).

Has anyone use the Backtest with this EA and found good settings.
I practise it the whole day but i didnīt found nice settings wich are profitable.
I using GPD/USD an EUR/USD.

I hope there is anyone who can help me and sharing the settings for this major.

Its useless to compare results eachother.Different timeframe (15m, 30m,1h). Different box hours, different,different..............
Suggestion would be to spent some serius time on backtest with different settings and find what fit best.Read also the pdf ive attached as a guide and make whatever changes you wish.

wltam thanks for this great EA.

I'm having trouble changing the expert properties. If I change the TP levels it inserts values into the "Step" and "Stop" columns and I can't set them back to 0. Any advice anyone?

Hey paspvirot....

Thats not import. Only the first Column is the right setting (Value).

I just came across this system and wondered if if there have been any official changes to original format? Has someone backtested this lately? I did back testing for the big dog system and although it had some good runs you later gave it all back because the risk/reward wasn't good. This system appears to be very similar.

its the exact same system just based on another session. Its better for the Breakout than the US session is and I've been playing around with alot ideas on how to control the Risk reward of the strategy... I posted the following on the Big Dog Thread, if anyone here has any ideas, please d share...

that means, if "TP3_Control" is set to "true", a third order (that TP3) is only placed as an pending order, if TP1 and TP2 was reached?

when I will make three pending-orders:

TP1 = 30
TP2 = 40
TP3 = 80

I must set "TP3_Control = false", is that right?

and I wonder, why that setting (as seen in the screenshot) never placed orders at 01:45 ... that is in the night here in europe, I set it up to 4 different charts, each in M15 timeframe, each with its own magic_num. No orders where executed (yes, there is a smiley in each chart in the top right corner)...

May be it will not work, because I set up that ea into each chart at the late evening (22:00 hours) ?

Also I did not use that "MA_indicator setting" because I do not know, how it makes any sense to set a pending-order or not ...

and "move_new_SL_when_TP1_BE" ... did that setting (if set to "true") shift the SL for all remaining pending-orders (TP2 and TP2), with no matter if there is TP3_Control set to true or false?

Hi friend,
It seems it is all about MA, because EA set orders exactly using MA. If the box lower than MA we have sell orders if higher we have buy orders if MA crosses the box we have orders in both ways(buy/sell). How this would help. Also you terminal should be on to trade.

Here is the link to the Breakout-EA which I have used:

and attached are my settings for each pair.

(EURUSD,EURYEN,GBPUSD, GBPYEN, USDYEN in zip-File)

Buffer is different for the pairs, I analysed each pair since 4th of september ... also the different TP settings for each pair are a result of that.

Pending-Orders are set at 01:45 GMT, range is the hour 00:45 to 01:45 GMT.

EA has to run in M15 Chart ...

By the way, do I need to account for GMT offset in some ways when setting pending order at 01:45 GMT? FYI, FXDD's server clock is GMT+3 currently. If not, does the EA use GMT or some kind of auto detection?

sorry, as my broker is working in GMT time-zone, I do not know, what your settings have to be ...

maybe it will help you, when you see the candle-formations to check, if you have figured out the correct time-shift for you (see screenshot)
