I thought you are a full-time forex trader. I wonder how many folks in this forum are full-time trader.

The same problem I have due to a full-time job. Anyway, we have to try our best as we can to be a successful trader. Hopefully, we all will be a successful trader and quit the day-job and start trading fulltime.

Or you could just trade the daily chart, and spend about 30 minutes each day trading by checking the daily candle close. Super added benefit: realise true expectancy of your system because you take all signals.

Just closed my position for 20 pips on a 15M EUR/USD cross. It was about a 30 pip move but I waited until the signal was very clear. Hope some of you picked up on it too.

Hi Sinner,

As a result, I usually check the 4hr and above. Sometimes, I do check 1hr. But most of the time, I try to study the charts how it behaves with the understanding of the Ichimoku pdf. Trying to understand all the 5 key strategies outlined in the pdf.

Guys, you should see my account today I have made some good pips but it just goes to show how crazy the market has become since Friday. Normally, when market operations are flowing correctly my account will usually be full of similar trades. Today it looks like this:

Short Hang Seng (just in profit)
Long EUR/NZD (still in spread)
Long EUR/USD (+45 but looking for many hundred pips as it is a daily trade, SL at 1.4475)
Long USD/CHF -11
Long GBP/JPY +30 (and in free trade state, thanks Tokyo open )

That is absolutely crazy I have not seen my live trades looking like this for months. Normally when many market instruments diverge like this then it means something big has to happen to bring correlations back in line.

PS: None of these are Ichi trades, just trying to highlight market craziness.

With the treasury market yield curve flattening right out, we could be in for round 2 of market crash.

Ok, I have flattened out a bit thankfully. Down to HSI short, E/N long, E/U long, U/CHF long, which indicates to me normal market flow.

vic, I have spent the morning doing analysis because I don't like being opposite position to you. In the end my analysis is compromised because of poor USD fundamentals and my own USD bullishness but I will give my opinion anyway:

U/J down-trend will be permanently over if U/J can cross 90.4-90.5 zone on the daily. I do not advise to hold shorts past this zone, tighten your SL to this zone. Until then safe to remain bearish.

Sinner I'm not so sure - Glen Stevens and the reserve bank board reckon they've single handedly saved Australia from recession and they're pretty proud of themselves. They seem to think all the stimulus spending over here has a had a wonderful effect and I wouldn't mind betting they feel a little pressure on the brakes could be in order but we shall see. They love pulling levers and the Gov and Reserve bank here think that because Australia skirted recession when every other advanced economy in the world didn't they are Masters of their Universe.

yes I know the reverse correlation between the two, but that strategy I use when I am expecting a big move like on NFP fridays or any other big movers, not on a regular day, unless I missed something.

Hi Sinner , could u pls explain why are u long on G/yen , I understand that u obviously didnt use ichi for that trade , i just wanted to see ur logic behind that . I mean if u trade intraday , and target certain amount of pips , that makes perfect sense , but if not than there is something that i clearly dont understand , since im holding short on U/yen and G/yen , and it appears to me like we are in a downtrend .
