Yes (Trading) is right. If you are new especially stick with 2 %. you can lose a crapload of trades and still have a decent balance on your account to get the winners.I learned the hard way a few times myself as have many others..If your trading strategy uses a 40 pip stop loss then maybe 1 %.if its a 20 pip stoploss then 2 %--just examples but you can do the math with your 2%

it took me about 2- 3 margin calls to learn back then LOL

Last month NFP news USD strengthened and then as soon as Stock market opened it reversed and the Euro gained strength.I'm leaning towards the same again. So maybe that will fix the shoulder

That would depend FX...if you are in profit, why not take half off the table and move your stop to 1pip past your break even....this way, you have some profits taken and you now have a free trade going.

If you are in a small loss, I would just close out and start again next week.

By the way, its called NFP (Non Farm Payroll), not NFE...

Hi Guys,

I have few running trades. Since there is NFE release, i am bit confused whether to close the trades or adjust my SL, so that I could avoid from hitting it. Need you guys advice.

You think we go south today ? I dont know how market reacted last time but when read the reports of last times then all the news were negative for USD. I really hope to see that the news are this time good so maybe we can see some trend reversal maybe ? I am not an expert but i hope that wee see trend reversal ..

Thought I'd share this with the group.

Its an indicator that shows you the percentage close of the current price bar.

I find it helpful when I'm timing waiting a news release and waiting on the current price bar to close.

Prior to this, I used to have my pc clock on display in order to wait for the price close of a bar...

Also helps you scalpers who are waiting on price bar closes...

Good day.
Waiting for NFP, currently long. This is the nervous time in the market.
Hourly in small rising wedge since the low, but trend overall is still down, so my trade is counter-trend.
